He Was Courting Death

Following the instructions, the two took the elevator to the twelfth floor. But just as the doors were about to open, Lin Chen's danger sense detected a threat. He hurriedly said, "Fatty, don't go out yet."

With that, Lin Chen pulled Fatty aside, then took off his shirt and suddenly threw it out.

Wherever the shooter was, Yang Bei had clearly seen them arrive and immediately arranged for someone to assassinate them. He was ruthless.

"Lin Chen, who are these people? Why are they pulling out guns and shooting people at the drop of a hat?"

Fatty asked in surprise.

"My enemies."

Lin Chen was not worried about getting shot himself. He was worried about Fatty. After all, Fatty was only an internal-force expert and did not possess an invulnerable body. A bullet to the head would still kill him on the spot.

Lin Chen said nothing more. Instead, he activated his X-ray vision and looked over the twelfth floor. Sure enough, someone was hiding in an office opposite the stairwell, aiming a gun at the
