Deep night shrouded all of Green Dam.
The plants beside the dam swayed gently in the night breeze, their dark green shadows overlapping. With the distant murmur of running water, the surroundings were so quiet that only the low chirping of insects remained.
Cool moonlight filtered through gaps in the foliage, casting scattered patches of light on the grass. The evening breeze carried the fresh scent of vegetation past the camping tents, making their fabric flutter slightly.
A white tent stood amid the greenery, shutting out the darkness outside. Inside the cramped space, a camping lamp cast a soft, warm yellow glow, faintly projecting the three occupants' shadows onto the canvas in a haze of warmth.
Miru felt very uncomfortable sitting there so stiffly and still wanted to give Suiren some time alone with him, so she asked:
"Lei, do you have another tent? I'm not feeling well today. I'd like to stay by myself."
"Yes, of course. Just a moment."
Uchiha Lei took the Space-Time Scroll from inside his clothes and handed it to Miru.
Suddenly remembering that this was the border between Kirigakure and Iwagakure, he reminded her:

Suiren understood her meaning. She tilted her head onto Uchiha Lei's shoulder and said softly:
"Lei, it's time to finish what we started."
"Suiren, I know. But Kakashi's in the tent beside us."
Uchiha Lei offered the reminder, wrapped his left arm around Suiren's waist, and slowly lowered his head to plant a kiss beside her ear.
