Night soaked Green Dam, and not a ripple disturbed the river.
The evening breeze brushed past the plants along the bank, leaving only faint rustling.
Deathly silence surrounded the place. The moonlight was faint, the surroundings empty and desolate. Even the wind hushed its voice, lending the stillness before battle a heavy chill.
On a large tree not far from the tent~
Tobi stood on the thick trunk of a broadleaf tree, dressed in black, with a yellow Spiral Mask and short green hair, his arms folded and his manner arrogant.
Another White Zetsu stood beside him. Huge, toothed leaves resembling a Venus flytrap grew on either side of his head, able to open and close around his face and head in a defensive posture. His eyes held sharpness and disdain.
White Zetsu turned and said scornfully:
"You called him the strongest person besides Lord Madara, but we're right in front of him, and he still hasn't noticed?"
"What? White Zetsu, do you want him to notice you and beat you to death?" Tobi turned and asked in puzzlement.
Whoosh~
A gust swept past behind them~
Uchiha Lei's voice rang out~
"You two aren't sleeping this late at night?"
"When did you get here?" White Zetsu turned in surprise.
Beside him, Tobi remained calm and composed. He had already used the Mayfly Technique to flee swiftly, leaving only White Zetsu facing Uchiha Lei.
Unable to spot Tobi out of the corner of his eye, White Zetsu spat, "Damn Tobi, he runs fast."
"Oh? That White Zetsu just now was called Tobi?"
Uchiha Lei's mouth opened slightly in surprise, and its corners curled into a wicked grin.
Knowing escape was hopeless, White Zetsu spoke in a cocky tone:
"Don't try to fish information out of me. I'm no ordinary White Zetsu
