• Qianye Lan befriended Kushina, protected her from bullies, and impressed the Third Hokage with his training and skill.

Qianye Lan and his teammates completed dangerous missions, passed the Chunin exams, and navigated growing tensions among their friends. After their promotion, Hatake Sakumo led them on an A-rank escort mission that ended with Qianye Lan and Sakumo attacking the mercenaries’ ambush site.

• Qianye Lan helped Hatake Sakumo’s team defeat a bandit leader, then earned a share of the recovered money and bought Kushina a pot of violets.
• During a border patrol, Qianye Lan and his teammates defeated a Sunagakure missing-nin, and Qianye Lan chose the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique as his A-rank reward.
• Qianye Lan tutored Kushina for the Chunin exams, and the three teammates passed the written test and Forest of Death round before advancing through the matches.
