An explanation of why the protagonist uses a spear despite being a feng shui master!
The main reason is that this book is set at a time when the Material Planes existed, but before the Higher Planes had been created! Magic was something the Sovereigns spread to the various Material Planes by simplifying the profound mysteries of the laws in order to obtain the power of faith.
Considering that the protagonist was unlikely to comprehend the laws right from the start and thus use magic, I chose the path of physical strength, followed by inventing battle aura through breathing techniques!
The protagonist lived in a small tribe, so there probably would not be much in the way of inherited battle aura or magic teachings! That was why I chose a spear as the weapon rather than the mage's path, which would be more fitting for a feng shui master!
A feng shui master's insights generally concern the laws of the earth, so a clear advantage would only emerge after reaching the Saint level!
