Did you know what despair was? Satoru Gojo was feeling pretty despairing right now.
He had spent half the day trading words with the Higher-Ups, threatening, compromising, and negotiating. After all that effort, he had finally snatched the boy named Yuta Okkotsu away from those Old Orange-Peels who knew nothing but death sentences and made him his student.
He had returned from the Higher-Ups in high spirits, but when he happily pushed open the door to the room where Okkotsu was being held, the sight inside nearly gave Satoru Gojo a heart attack.
Sherlock was sitting casually in the chair across from Yuta Okkotsu with a smug look on his face, explaining something to him with the air of someone who had been through it all.
And what about Okkotsu, sitting across from Sherlock?
Holding a pen and notebook he had gotten from who knew where, he was taking notes with the utmost seriousness, his face bright red!
If you thought that was all, you were seriously underestimating Sherlock.
Behind Okkotsu, the enormous figure of the Over-Cursed Vengeful Spirit called Rika also seemed to have faintly materialized, apparently listening to Sherlock's "lesson" just as seriously as Okkotsu was.
The only difference between her and Okkotsu was that Okkotsu was diligently taking notes, while Rika was not. She was simply listening very attentively.
The atmosphere in the entire room could not have been more harmonious. Even Rika showed none of the traits of an Over-Cursed Vengeful Spirit, behaving so well it was almost absurd.
So here was the question: why would such a harmonious, normal scene make Satoru Gojo feel as though he was having a heart attack?
Simple. If Satoru Gojo had not heard the last thing Sherlock said when he pushed open the door, the sight before him would
