Half an hour later, in the infirmary at Tokyo Jujutsu High.
With a dark expression, Shoko finished splinting the fractured index and middle fingers on both of Sherlock's hands, then coldly gave him his medical instructions.
"Keep the splints on for a week. Even though they've been healed with Reverse Cursed Technique, you still need to wear them to stabilize them."
Shoko paused after saying that, but ultimately couldn't hold back and slapped Sherlock on the back of his head. Ignoring his pitiful, aggrieved expression, she repeatedly jabbed his forehead with her finger as she warned him.
"Next time you come out of a fight unhurt but injure yourself attacking your teacher, don't expect me to heal you with Reverse Cursed Technique!"
"Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!"
The more Shoko jabbed Sherlock's forehead, the more aggrieved he looked, and the louder Dickhead Cat laughed off to the side. Eventually, Satoru Gojo's laughter successfully got on Shoko's nerves, making her turn her fire on him.
"And you! Satoru Gojo! Stop laughing! What decent teacher insists on stuffing himself into iron underpants just to guard against his student? You actually went and did it!!!!"
Shoko was losing it. She was already starting to struggle to follow the thought processes of this bizarre teacher-student pair.
The student sold his teacher off to work as a host, and the teacher had put on iron underpants who knew how many days in advance just to screw his student over?
No, was this right?
It was true that Jujutsu Society was full of lunatics, and Shoko had long known that practically everyone in the Zenin Clan was insane, but this was her first time seeing anyone as fucking ridiculous as these two.
Heaven knew how worried Shoko had been when Sherlock rushed in earlier, his face covered in tears as he held up his hands with both index and middle fingers broken!
And who the hell knew how furious Shoko had been once she figured out what had happened, after Satoru Gojo came over grinning, carrying those utterly bizarre iron underpants to mock Sherlock to his face.
Seriously, that little brat Sherlock had been at Jujutsu High for nearly three months now. In just three short months, Shoko had actually started missing Suguru Geto.
Even though Suguru Geto was scum too, at least Dickhead Cat reined himself in a little with him around, rather than running completely wild like this!
Satoru Gojo, however, paid no attention to Shoko's anger. Ever since discovering how flexible his first student's moral limits were, and getting screwed over a few times, he had constantly been on guard against Sherlock.
Although that oddball named Eiichi Kurokawa had thrown the timing completely out of line with what Satoru Gojo had expected, getting his revenge at last left him feeling absolutely fantastic.
Seeing that he was about to make Sherlock cry with anger, Satoru Gojo finally tossed the iron underpants onto the infirmary floor and grinned as he spoke the coldest words from his thirty-seven-degree mouth.
"Now then, Xia-chan, even though you've broken fingers on both hands, you still have to submit your mission report~ Your teacher has already written plenty for you before, so I'll leave this report on Eiichi Kurokawa to you~"
With that, Satoru Gojo ignored Sherlock, who had collapsed into such despair that he had lost all color in his chair, and happily twirled out of the infirmary.
Looking at the iron underpants Satoru Gojo had thrown on the floor, then at Sherlock, who had turned completely gray, Shoko felt her blood pressure rise too. Without mercy, she picked up the phone and dialed Masamichi Yaga's number.
Ten minutes later, Satoru Gojo's howls and Masamichi Yaga's furious scolding echoed through the sky above Jujutsu High.
Twenty minutes later, Masamichi Yaga's furious scolding still echoed above Jujutsu High, but Satoru Gojo's howls had stopped.
The final verdict was that Satoru Gojo received a five-thousand-word written reflection for causing Sherlock's injuries, while Sherlock received a ten-thousand-word written reflection for attacking his teacher!
And Sherlock still had to finish his mission report!
Heaven have mercy, Sherlock wanted to die after hearing Masamichi Yaga's punishment.
Never mind that damned reflection and mission report-when had Satoru Gojo actually learned to be bad?! He was no longer that sheltered Six Eyes Dickhead Cat. The current Satoru Gojo had evolved into a devious little kitty!
All right, in plain language, Sherlock had discovered that Satoru Gojo was actually starting to think about how to screw him over in return. This was clearly a bad trend.
After all, given Dickhead Cat's personality, if this continued, there was no telling just how low Sherlock might drag his moral limits. If he really became "Limitless," then...
Hmm? If Satoru Gojo really did become "Limitless," wouldn't I possibly not be the only one suffering? Might those Old Orange-Peels and Sukuna, who would fight Satoru Gojo one-on-one in the future, have it worst?
Sherlock's mood inexplicably improved. He wondered whether His Majesty would choose to have shit rain down on his head or take Satoru Gojo's Unlimited Void head-on when the time came.
After spending five minutes copying a ten-thousand-word reflection from the simplified Chinese internet and printing it straight out, Sherlock started writing his so-called "mission report" on the computer.
Naturally, the focus of this mission report wasn't on Eiichi Kurokawa at all. Instead, it concentrated on how Satoru Gojo had been in his element at the host club, and how Sherlock himself had lurked in the darkness and spotted something amiss through careful observation.
Sherlock merely mentioned Eiichi Kurokawa, the Curse User capable of deploying a domain, in passing.
In any case, Satoru Gojo would probably dump all the follow-up trouble on that unlucky upperclassman Ijichi, and Eiichi Kurokawa was most likely already deader than dead, so those Old Orange-Peels wouldn't be able to make an issue of it.
More importantly, all this nonsense wasn't the only thing Sherlock had to consider. After finishing that mission report full of bullshit, Sherlock lay in bed with his mind almost entirely occupied by what Satoru Gojo had told him during his domain battle with Eiichi Kurokawa.
"A domain is simply projecting your Innate Cursed Technique into reality. To deploy one, you need not only a certain level of skill with Barrier Techniques, but also a certain amount of imagination.
"Sherlock, can you imagine what form your Innate Cursed Technique should take when projected into reality? Often, that's what allows a sorcerer to break through the constraints of that level."
Satoru Gojo's words kept echoing in Sherlock's head, leaving him tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep for a long time.
Sherlock had never thought about what a domain for Flying Thunder God should look like. More crucially, he kept feeling that his Cursed Technique seemed incomplete. So far, his development of it seemed to have remained entirely on the surface.
What Sherlock didn't know was that, while he lay in bed thinking about his Cursed Technique and domain, elsewhere, among the Higher-Ups, a detailed file on Eiichi Kurokawa had already been placed before those Old Orange-Peels.
