Since summer was the peak season for cursed spirit outbreaks, Jujutsu High did not really have summer vacations. In exchange, however, its winter vacations were considerably longer.

After Sherlock passed every last one of those damned final exams, he began Jujutsu High's long winter vacation in early November, around the seventh.

During winter vacation, Jujutsu High students had neither designated missions nor assigned missions. The only missions that might come up were support missions, and even those could be refused.

Jujutsu High would not resume classes until March of the following year. In other words, Sherlock had nearly four months off!

The stark contrast with his summer life as a corporate slave treated worse than a beast of burden almost made Sherlock burst into tears of excitement when he heard the news.

Almost without a moment's hesitation, Sherlock activated his cursed technique and ran straight home the instant Masamichi Yaga announced the start of vacation.

Looking at the detached house, which had already gathered a thin layer of dust, Sherlock had never felt better.

After humming a little tune as he cleaned his house, Sherlock even made a special trip to a restaurant to get himself a delicious takeout meal as a reward for the start of vacation.

Over the past six months or so, Sherlock had earned quite a lot of money from missions and compensation. The total was even comparable to the inheritance those parents of his had left him.

As the saying went, money in your pocket meant peace of mind. Sherlock had already planned to spend a while living like a decadent good-for-nothing to soothe a soul that more than six months of grueling work had squeezed almost dry.

What? You wanted to know how Sherlock planned to water his parched soul?

Never you mind. Sherlock
