Zuo Xiaoduo looked at Little Dragon eagerly. "Can we nurture this tree inside the Annihilation Sky Pagoda, in our space?"
Little Dragon calculated for a moment, then said, "At the Annihilation Sky Pagoda's current stage, we could only barely keep it alive. Burying it in that new Dragon Vein inside our space would ensure its survival. But if you want it to keep growing, or even bear fruit again in the future, we'd have to move at least ten more Earth Veins inside. And we'd need lots and lots more of that powder you get, Boss-three to five hundred times as much as we have now... only then might it grow."
Zuo Xiaoduo felt greatly relieved. "As long as it can live and there's a way, that's enough. I'll transplant the whole fruit tree, then. That Star Soul Jade Powder costs next to nothing. Let it pile up day after day-never mind three to five hundred times as much, even three to five thousand times would be fine."
Little Dragon nodded. "Since you're confident, Boss, do as you please."
What Zuo Xiaoduo failed to see was the slight upward curl at the corners of Little Dragon's mouth-a very well-concealed expression of happiness.
Boss, the more heavenly treasures you move in, the better the quality of this Earth Vein we've gathered will become. The better the Earth Vein, the faster I'll grow... hehehe...
This feels so good I could fly.
Little Dragon felt fantastic!
Not everyone got to follow a boss this utterly stingy, this utterly miserly, this utterly greedy, who wanted absolutely everything!
But when it was someone on your own side being greedy, taking what others coveted, that was a good thing too. Sweeping everything into your own home-what wasn't good about that?!
Take this fruit tree, for instance.
