A quarter-hour after they entered, a streak of purple spiritual light flew out from another passage.

"Prefect, we've guarded this place for so long without seeing so much as a shadow. Could the killer have already escaped through another exit?" a cultivator asked quietly.
Prefect Qingyang shook his head and said gravely, "The Second Elder instructed us that the killer is very likely still inside the cavern. We only need to guard this place well. The moment we discover anyone suspicious, immediately send word to the Second Elder."
"Then should we move to stop him?" the cultivator continued asking.
