Ch. 681Fishing Begins and Terrorists

Yang Yi and Yu Dawei led a deep-sea fishing operation from Steam Island while the island's forces prepared for an attack. The attackers were quickly defeated, though Yang Yi was left without prisoners who could reveal which factions had sent them.

  • Yang Yi arrived at North Port and saw Yu Dawei's new, heavily armored Mech, which had a movable head hidden in its chest.
  • Yu Dawei, Yang Yi, and the other crews launched 101 ships and the Mechanical Kraken for the deep-sea fishing operation, with Yang Yi and Su Na aboard the Iron Will.
  • As the ships departed, attackers emerged through Portals across Steam Island, but Pink Cow and other defenders killed or drove them off without any deaths among the players.
  • Zhang Zhi killed a fleeing attacker near North Port, and he later reported to Yang Yi and Yu Dawei that all the terrorists had been executed.
  • Yang Yi regretted that no attackers survived to identify the factions behind them, while Steam Island offered compensation to the injured players.

Ch. 682Luring

Yang Yi led the fleet into the Sea of No Light to search for sea monsters, then descended with Cui Xiya to investigate a light below. After they discovered a sea monster lair, a giant creature swallowed them, but Yang Yi escaped with Cui Xiya.

  • Yang Yi ordered the fleet to descend while he searched the dark waters with his Three Eyes.
  • At 4,000 meters, Yang Yi sent the ships to wait and descended with Cui Xiya toward a faint light.
  • Yang Yi spotted a glowing humanoid creature attached to a fleshy strand over a thousand meters long.
  • Cui Xiya cast a Light Spell, revealing that they were inside the open mouth of a giant sea monster surrounded by many smaller monsters.
  • The giant sea monster snapped its mouth shut and swallowed Yang Yi and Cui Xiya, but Yang Yi soon burst out in wolf-head armor carrying her.

Ch. 683Hunting Sea Monsters and a Sudden Change

Yang Yi and the Fishing Team fought off a huge swarm of sea monsters, while he concluded that Steam Island needed stronger underwater defenses and more frequent hunts. After the battle, Yang Yi spotted a familiar sight below the fleet, leaving the next danger unresolved.

  • Yang Yi returned to the fleet with Cui Xiya and warned the players that a large swarm of sea monsters was approaching.
  • Yu Dawei led the fleet in a sustained barrage, while Blue Whale paralyzed the monsters with electrified harpoons and Yu Dawei destroyed a gigantic fish with his Head-Burning Beam.
  • Yang Yi assessed the battle and decided Steam Island needed underwater surveillance, defenses, and more frequent hunts.
  • The Fishing Team killed most of the swarm and recovered its corpses, though seven Twisted Warships and about 30% of the underwater Security Robots were lost.
  • As Yang Yi prepared to return, he looked down and recognized a familiar sight.

Ch. 684Return

Yang Yi's Fishing Team escaped an Abyss Scavenger during a deep-sea salvage operation, then returned to Steam Island with a large haul. After warning Yu Dawei about future dangers and arranging defenses, Yang Yi returned to Nightmare Star with Su Na while Cui Xiya chose to browse Commercial Street.

  • Yang Yi ordered the Fishing Team to surface when an Abyss Scavenger began dragging down sea monster corpses, and Su Na froze its adhesive slime so trapped Players could escape.
  • The Fishing Team escaped after an explosion, losing underwater Security Robots and one Twisted Warship but suffering no fatalities.
  • Yang Yi told Yu Dawei to prepare Freezing Guns, underwater defenses, repairs to the Fear-Killing Cannon, and precautions against a possible sea monster tide.
  • The fleet unloaded its sea monster haul at North Port, and Steam Island paid the Players bounties averaging around seven million Conch Coins each.
  • Yang Yi flew to the Portal plaza and returned to Nightmare Star with Su Na, while Cui Xiya followed to browse Commercial Street.

Ch. 685Development

Yang Yi developed new Ship Models and discussed Steam Island’s deep-sea fishing plans with Yu Dawei while continuing his efforts to enter a lucid dream. The chapter ended with Yang Yi waking after an unusually unclear nightmare and wondering whether he had developed resistance to the potion.

  • Yang Yi fished with the Old Captain and promised him a better Fishing Rod if he steered them to the Sea of Miracles.
  • Yang Yi inspected a Fully Armed Long-Legged Ship Model and completed a Twisting Iron Will Ship Model that could operate underwater and transform for combat.
  • Yang Yi decided to ask his friends for ship diagrams to help unlock transformation functions for more Ship Models.
  • Yu Dawei told Yang Yi that Steam Island’s second Sea Monster fishing operation had succeeded despite one death, and described plans for a Fear-Killing Cannon, an island elevator, and long-range fire support.
  • Yang Yi refused Yu Dawei’s request for 500 million to fund Steam Island’s construction.
  • Yang Yi drank the Nightmare Version of the Dream-Entering Potion, slept until morning, and woke with little memory of the nightmare, suspecting he had developed resistance.

Ch. 686Nightmare Crystal

Yang Yi received a Nightmare Crystal from Su Na and checked on the rapidly growing Abyss Nautilus before discovering that the Nightmare Star had abruptly entered the Storm Sea. The ship faced violent weather as Yang Yi checked the conditions and prepared for the danger ahead.

  • Su Na gave Yang Yi a Nightmare Crystal extracted from Nightmare Statues and explained that producing one required around three thousand statues.
  • Yang Yi paid Su Na three hundred million for two more crystals after she admitted the Laboratory explosion had damaged instruments.
  • Yang Yi visited the Abyss Nautilus, which had grown to twenty centimeters, turned pink, and learned to breathe fire; he promised to visit it more often.
  • Yang Yi returned to the cabin and felt the ship rocking, then went to the deck and found the Nightmare Star surrounded by storm winds and torrential rain.
  • Yang Yi checked the weather interface and learned that the ship had entered the Storm Sea, where wind force had reached seven.

Ch. 687Following the Wind

Yang Yi and the crew prepared the Nightmare Star after it unexpectedly entered the Storm Sea, then agreed to follow the wind while keeping their course toward the Sea of Miracles. Two days later, with the ship moving faster, they began making Su Na’s multi-body sails.

  • Yang Yi found that the Nightmare Star’s route had not changed and concluded the Storm Sea had expanded or shifted around the ship.
  • Yang Yi ordered Xiaoji and the crew to secure the deck and supplies, then held a meeting to arrange round-the-clock monitoring and limit risky activity.
  • Su Na suggested following the wind to its source and using sails to increase the Nightmare Star’s speed, and Yang Yi agreed as long as they stopped if the wind changed direction.
  • Two days later, the wind and current had made the Nightmare Star at least ten knots faster, and Su Na presented a design for more than a hundred reinforced sails.
  • Yang Yi gathered Cui Xiya, Xiaoji, Iron Skeletons, living vines, and rats in the Witch Laboratory to build the sails from cloth and steel.

Ch. 688A journey chasing the wind

Yang Yi and his crew completed and raised 128 parachute sails, sending the Nightmare Star racing across the sea toward the Sea of Miracles. He discovered the Abyss Nautilus adapting to life and work aboard the ship, while Su Na explained its remarkable potential.

  • Yang Yi and the crew finished 128 parachute sails, then installed them across the ship with Xiaoji coordinating the work.
  • Yang Yi ordered the sails raised, and the Nightmare Star accelerated to about 100 knots as Xiaoji monitored the wind.
  • Yang Yi checked the Old Captain and the sealed cabins, then estimated the ship might reach the Sea of Miracles within two months if its speed held.
  • Yang Yi found Cui Xiya teaching the Abyss Nautilus to make parachutes, and the creature mastered the task using its tentacles.
  • Yang Yi told the Abyss Nautilus to help with production, then asked Su Na about its ability to adapt to land.
  • Su Na told Yang Yi that Abyss Nautiluses had high base stats, great potential, and social behavior, though no civilization of them had been found.

Ch. 689A wind-chasing journey, part two

Yang Yi gathered ship designs and prepared to upgrade the Nightmare Star while it raced through an unusually violent Storm Sea. After collecting Su Na’s modification modules, he planned to reinforce the ship with sturdier parachutes and hull equipment.

  • Yang Yi sent Yu Dawei Su Na’s complex Nightmare Star modification plans, and Yu Dawei estimated the factory could begin incubating them in fourteen hours.
  • Yang Yi bought detailed images and internal diagrams of several friends’ special ships so he could make ship models, but he could not reach Zhou Dai to obtain pictures of the Radiant Goddess Ship.
  • Yang Yi inspected the Storm Sea, where the wind had grown so strong that its level could not be measured, while the Nightmare Star’s speed exceeded 130 knots and the Old Captain rooted himself inside the hull.
  • Yang Yi slept briefly as the Nightmare Star’s parachutes broke and its speed fell to 110 knots; he then asked Yu Dawei to produce tougher parachutes and said he would collect the modification modules in person.
  • Yang Yi teleported to Steam Island, collected the finished modules, and returned to the Nightmare Star to begin the modifications.

Ch. 690A wind-chasing journey, part three

Yang Yi and the others completed the Nightmare Star’s hull modifications to withstand the Storm Sea’s powerful winds and currents. The ship reached more than 200 knots, but Su Na warned that the modules could start breaking apart above 260 knots as the storm continued to intensify.

  • Yang Yi and the others installed the above-water modules, stabilizing the Nightmare Star and enclosing most of its deck.
  • Yang Yi led Su Na, Cui Xiya, Xiaoji, and the Abyss Nautilus underwater to assemble the remaining modules despite the turbulent current.
  • Yang Yi spotted fish in the deep sea and considered diving down as a backup plan, but the completed modules let the Nightmare Star race onward at more than 200 knots.
  • Su Na estimated the ship’s theoretical maximum speed at 302 knots and warned that the modules risked breaking apart above 260 knots.
  • Yang Yi arranged for Xiaoji to monitor the ship’s speed and went to sleep after telling Su Na to commission the parachutes.

Ch. 691Chasing the Wind, Part Four

Yang Yi and Cui Xiya completed a Newspaper Ship Model as the Nightmare Star sped toward the Sea of Miracles, but the ship suddenly collided with an unidentified floating object. Yang Yi and Su Na went to inspect the damage and discovered the ship's wheel and the Old Captain had vanished.

  • Yang Yi woke after seven hours, checked Xiaoji's reports on the Nightmare Star, and warned the Abyss Nautilus not to approach him while he slept.
  • The Abyss Nautilus cooked one of its own tentacles for Yang Yi, then understood that he had meant to warn it about his dangerous body heat.
  • Over the next three days, the Nightmare Star reached 237 knots, survived several lightning strikes, and Yang Yi and Cui Xiya completed a Newspaper Ship Model.
  • Yang Yi examined the model's Influence-earning display effect as the Nightmare Star lurched after striking an unidentified floating object.
  • Yang Yi transformed into a Werewolf and took Su Na outside to inspect the damage, where they found the ship's wheel and the Old Captain missing.

Ch. 692Chasing the Wind, Part Five

Yang Yi, Su Na, Xiaoji, and Cui Xiya repaired the Nightmare Star and kept it under control amid the violent winds and flying debris. Yang Yi spotted rising seawater ahead and realized the storm’s main presence was nearing.

  • Yang Yi admitted he had neglected the ship while building the Ship Model, then brought Su Na, Xiaoji, and Cui Xiya out to handle the damage.
  • Yang Yi improvised a wheel from the Broken Iron Greatsword and Iron Skeletons, while Xiaoji cut away the ship’s parachutes.
  • Yang Yi left Cui Xiya steering the Nightmare Star and went underwater with Su Na to repair the damaged Expansion Module.
  • Yang Yi found a charred mast from a Fire Worship Cult Believer’s ship lodged in the module, and he and Su Na removed it and installed replacements.
  • Cui Xiya nearly exhausted her stamina before Yang Yi and Su Na returned, and Xiaoji finished removing the parachutes.
  • Yang Yi took the helm and saw the seawater rising ahead as the storm’s main presence approached.

Ch. 693Water Column

Yang Yi and Su Na struggled to keep the Nightmare Star intact as violent winds and rising seawater drove it toward a colossal column that was pulling everything into the sky. After Yang Yi transformed into a Flame Giant to save the ship, Su Na began brewing a potion to help them escape the column.

  • Yang Yi steered the Nightmare Star through more than forty hours of gale-force winds while Su Na helped stabilize the ship with the Module Linkage Device.
  • Yang Yi spotted an enormous water column ahead and reversed the ship, but the wind tore the Expansion Modules from the hull and sent the Nightmare Star tumbling upward.
  • Yang Yi fell into the sea and activated the Burning Giant's Heart, becoming a Flame Giant and pulling the ship back to the surface.
  • Yang Yi warned Su Na that they had to avoid the water column, and Su Na began brewing a potion in the Witch Laboratory while the ship continued to break apart.

Ch. 694The water column, part two

Yang Yi and the Nightmare Star were being pulled toward a colossal water column while Su Na hurried to develop a potion that could let them escape underwater. Yang Yi fired a summoned Giant Knight into the column, but the Infinite Flintlock broke and fell back to its previous form.

  • Yang Yi spotted the enormous water column on the Crystal Ball's Sea Chart and struggled against the currents pulling him and the Nightmare Star toward it.
  • As floating objects and seawater spiraled into the column, Yang Yi called for Su Na to hurry while he searched for a way to weaken the suction.
  • Su Na used fluids from the Abyss Nautilus to develop a potion that could let them ignore water resistance, and its effects began to weaken the forces around the Nightmare Star.
  • With the water column only a few nautical miles away, Yang Yi realized that anything fired into it would reach its source and summoned a Giant Knight with the Infinite Flintlock.
  • The Giant Knight charged into the water column, and the Infinite Flintlock shattered and reverted to the Roaring Flintlock.

Ch. 695Severed

Yang Yi fought a colossal fly-like creature, severed its dangling beak, and escaped into the sea after Su Na’s potion gave him the ability to move through water without resistance. He left the monster raging above while carrying the severed beak as spoils.

  • A golden flash and piercing shriek revealed that a huge creature had reacted to Yang Yi’s shot, and its blast hurled him more than ten nautical miles.
  • Yang Yi spotted the fly-like monster’s nearly severed beak and swallowed the Nightmare Star before using its suction to rush toward it.
  • Yang Yi’s sword cut off the beak and sliced open one of the monster’s eyes, but the creature struck him into the sea.
  • Su Na finished the Abyss Potion and threw it to Yang Yi, who gained the ability to move swiftly through seawater and escaped with the severed beak.

Ch. 696Wind Fly

Yang Yi and his companions escaped the Wind Fly, a colossal calamity beast whose siphon tube they had taken as loot. Su Na discovered the tube’s powerful Hunt effect, which could greatly improve their ship’s durability and speed and summon a storm, though it might attract the Wind Fly.

  • Yang Yi shared a photo of the Wind Fly’s mimic head and learned from its item information that the creature was an enormous storm-producing beast.
  • Su Na inferred that the Monster Gacha Machine might connect directly to the system, while Yang Yi decided the Wind Fly was too dangerous to fight.
  • Yang Yi gave the siphon tube to Su Na to inspect and welcomed the pale pink creature that had helped them escape.
  • Su Na found that the siphon tube was made of hollow, extremely strong nanomaterial and reported its Hunt effect: it increased ship durability, reduced mass, and granted the Storm Horn.
  • Yang Yi realized the Storm Horn’s storm-summoning and speed boosts could make the ship fast enough to compete with the Gale, but sounding it could draw the Wind Fly’s attention.

Ch. 697Influence = Conch Coins

Yang Yi publicized information about the Storm Sea to earn Influence, searched for High-level Abyss Soul Stones, and planned to open a weapon-repair shop on Steam Island. The next day, he gathered three buckets of fish beneath the Storm Sea to begin his plan.

  • Yang Yi asked Yu Dawei to seek High-level Abyss Soul Stones and post a high-priced buying notice, while they discussed introducing a business tax on Steam Island.
  • Yang Yi published Storm Sea information and photos through the Newspaper, causing his Influence to rise to over eighty million.
  • A player asked Yang Yi to repair an Exceptional axe, inspiring Yang Yi to offer repairs at a new Steam Island weapon shop.
  • Yang Yi swam beneath the Storm Sea, collected debris and fish, and had Xiaoji bring spoiled Long-Legged Sardines from the Abyss Nautilus to fill three buckets.

Ch. 698Hiring a blacksmith

Yang Yi offered Banks a new body in exchange for running a weapon shop on his island, and Banks agreed. Yang Yi used the Limb Restoration Spell to give Banks a beautiful female body that could withstand Soulfire, leaving the newly reborn Banks admiring his appearance.

  • Yang Yi showed Banks his preparations and proved his body could withstand Soulfire, persuading Banks to accept a body made partly from Yang Yi’s wolf hide.
  • Yang Yi negotiated for Banks to run the Greedy Craftsman Weapon Shop on his island, with Yang Yi keeping ownership and taking ninety percent of the profits.
  • Yang Yi built Banks a body from rotten fish, but rejected his first attempts before sculpting a beautiful female form modeled after a Siren.
  • Yang Yi cast the Limb Restoration Spell, and tiny spiders used wolf hide to protect Banks’s new body from Soulfire.
  • Banks awoke in his new body, admired himself in a mirror, and declared that he was extraordinarily beautiful.

Ch. 699The smithy opens for business

Banks arrived on Steam Island and opened the One-Eye Smithy, displaying his forged equipment and attracting customers with his replicas and custom-order guarantees. The shop began business successfully, with Players lining up to place orders.

  • Banks emerged from a Portal in Central Square and drew attention with his striking appearance before heading toward the Robot Grand Market.
  • Yu Dawei met Banks and led him to the neon-covered storefront Yang Yi had chosen for the smithy.
  • Banks enthusiastically approved the shop’s design, and the One-Eye Smithy officially opened to a crowd of Players.
  • Inside, Players browsed more than a hundred pieces of treasured and exceptional equipment forged by Banks.
  • Banks displayed replicas of the Infinite Flintlock and the Broken Iron Greatsword, then promoted his craftsmanship and offered repairs and custom orders.
  • Players placed numerous custom equipment orders after Banks promised treasured quality at minimum and refunds for anything below it.

Ch. 700Beautiful Dream Disease

Yang Yi crossed the Storm Sea into the Sea of No Light and hurried to find the Eden group after learning that Beautiful Dream Disease was spreading through the Sea of Miracles. Meanwhile, a Lionheart Knight approached an island suspected of being consumed by Death Plague and went ashore alone.

  • Yang Yi learned from Ma Dabao that Sleepless Disease, also called Beautiful Dream Disease, was spreading across the Sea of Miracles and suspected it was connected to Abu Singh's exploration of Dream Island.
  • Yang Yi ordered Ma Dabao to search harder for the Eden group before the Radiant Holy Church found them, then set out aboard the Nightmare Star toward the Sea of Miracles.
  • Yang Yi took a Slimming Potion, expelled a large amount of fat, and used the Nightmare Star's speed to race through the darkness.
  • A Lionheart Knight reached a glowing cherry-tree island that an old man warned was likely infected with Death Plague.
  • The Lionheart Knight told the old man to sail back to the church and vanished toward the island without wearing a Protective Suit.
