Chapter Summaries

Reinhardt and Cui Bisi investigated a cherry-blossom-covered island and discovered a Death Plague that infected them, while Reinhardt set out to confront its source. Meanwhile, Yang Yi planned how to enter the Sea of Miracles undetected, and the Nightmare Star approached it as his attempt to enter the Deep Dream remained blocked.

• Reinhardt and Cui Bisi reached the cherry blossom island, where Cui Bisi illuminated it and Reinhardt found no living creatures apart from diseased trees and petals.
• Reinhardt discovered that the petals infected him despite his Holy Light, and Cui Bisi warned that she had been infected too.
• A patient formed from cherry blossoms begged Reinhardt for help; Reinhardt comforted him with sacred light before determining that the plague's source lay on another island.
• Yang Yi planned to hide from light aboard the Nightmare Star and asked Cui Xiya about the dangers posed by Light Fairies accompanying Paladins.
• Two days later, Yang Yi neared the Sea of Miracles, concluded Abu Singh had blocked his access to dreams, and decided he would need to find him in reality.

Yang Yi prepared to enter the Sea of Miracles, tested protections against its brief daylight, and disguised the Nightmare Star as the Fire Bearer before sailing toward the Golden Commerce Guild. Elsewhere, Lionheart Knight Reinhardt appeared above the Sakura with the unconscious Cui Bisi, provoking the fleet’s captain and Sword Saint to confront him.

• Yang Yi entered the Sea of Miracles at night and prepared a sunshade and black robes to block its daylight.
• Cui Xiya briefly glowed white and went rigid before returning to fishing without noticing anything unusual.
• After sailing for two and a half days, Yang Yi used the Lookout to locate the Golden Commerce Guild and transformed the Nightmare Star into the Fire Bearer.
• The Sakura’s crew discussed avoiding One-Eye and searching for the New World Fleet while holding a banquet aboard their giant tree-ship.
• Lionheart Knight Reinhardt appeared above the Sakura carrying the unconscious Cui Bisi in a Holy Water-filled bottle, and the Sakura’s Sword Saint transformed and aimed a spear at him.

Reinhardt annihilated the Sakura and its Pink-Haired Monsters, then captured the First Sword Saint and exposed him as a player. After Cui Bisi awakened and ordered Reinhardt to bring the prisoner back, they headed for the Holy Capital.

• The First Sword Saint and the Sakura’s crew attacked Reinhardt, who destroyed the Sakura and hundreds of Pink-Haired Monsters with one strike.
• The First Sword Saint escaped underwater as a Pink-Haired Mole, but Reinhardt caught him and asked whether he was a player.
• The First Sword Saint’s Exposure surged and began transforming him until awakened Cui Bisi stopped it with a beam of light.
• Cui Bisi told Reinhardt to take the unconscious First Sword Saint back, overriding their mission.
• Reinhardt and Cui Bisi set off for the Holy Capital, while Cui Bisi warned him to be cautious of heretical beings.

Yang Yi reached the Golden Commerce Guild fleet and secured permission to dock after showing his Senior VIP Card. He asked the Guild for High-level Abyss Soul Stones, only to learn that Adventure King had already bought them all.

• Yang Yi spotted the Black Sesame Pirates Group near the Golden Commerce Guild fleet and hurried toward them.
• The Guild’s white-bearded boss ordered his crew to prepare to fire on the Firebearer, then let Yang Yi dock after seeing his Senior VIP Card.
• Yang Yi recognized the Pirate and accepted Adventure King’s invitation to come aboard for a drink and a surprise.
• Yang Yi boarded the Treasure Ship and asked the Guild boss for High-level Abyss Soul Stones.
• The Guild boss glanced toward the Pirate, and Adventure King privately told Yang Yi that he had already bought all the stones.

Yang Yi met Huang Zhuang aboard the Pirate and learned that Shen Guanquan was collecting Hero-level Enhancement Stones as well. Huang Zhuang sold him three High-level Abyss Soul Stones, letting Yang Yi buy them on credit despite being 200 million Conch Coins short.

• Yang Yi left the Treasure Ship after learning the item he wanted was gone, and Cui Xiya arrived to ask the white-bearded old man about tasty food.
• Huang Zhuang welcomed Yang Yi aboard the Pirate and revealed that Shen Guanquan was the Black Sesame Pirates Group’s boss.
• Huang Zhuang showed Yang Yi his Grave Sin Mark and asked him to sign his jacket and explain the Wind Fly’s Siphon Tube.
• Huang Zhuang offered three High-level Abyss Soul Stones for 2.4 billion Conch Coins, keeping the other five stones for Shen Guanquan.

• Yang Yi listed the species Su Na wanted, declined Gordon’s costly special specimens, and bought the ordinary slaves for 30,083,200 Conch Coins.
• Yang Yi spotted a vacant-looking Mutant Cyclops priced at two hundred million Conch Coins but did not buy it.
• Yang Yi noticed a new red carpet near the spiral staircase and asked Gordon to reveal what lay underneath.
• Gordon eventually nodded to the Horned People, who lifted the carpet and exposed a passage to a lower level.

Yang Yi discovered the hidden stock of Radiant Holy Church armor aboard Gordon’s ship and nearly had his Paladin disguise exposed. He escaped suspicion by making his head glow, took Gordon’s curved blade, and left under the invented title Nightmare Knight.

• Yang Yi found genuine Judgment Knight Armor and other Holy Church equipment in a hidden room below deck.
• Gordon grew suspicious and began drawing his dagger, but Yang Yi used a glowing potion to convince him he was a Paladin.
• Gordon gave Yang Yi his hero-level curved-blade dagger and pleaded with him not to question the smuggled armor.
• Yang Yi warned Gordon to stop selling the equipment and headed upstairs without confiscating it.
• Yang Yi told Su Na and Xiaoji to prepare to leave, then called himself Nightmare Knight and ordered Gordon to keep his visit secret.

Yang Yi paid for the crew’s purchases, loaded the slaves and liquor aboard, and escaped the merchant fleet after posing as a Paladin. At sea, he tested the hero-quality Wave-Edged Scimitar he had obtained for free and asked Su Na if she wanted it.

• Whitebeard Gordon believed Yang Yi’s claim that he was a Nightmare Knight and invented an explanation for the Church’s secret intervention.
• Yang Yi bought the Old Captain an exceptional Numbing Touch fishing rod and Xiaoji a treasured-quality Fish Bucket.
• Su Na bought potions as brewing ingredients and a bizarre book, but found no advanced Magic Books or Legendary Strength Potion.
• Yang Yi brought the slaves and Daydream liquor aboard the Nightmare and sailed away from the fleet.

Yang Yi upgraded his flintlock, investigated a book that might reveal a route to the White Palace, and arranged for Banks to help enhance his Transformation Belt. He also discovered that Mars was alive and nearing a possible Limb Spider Cult headquarters.

• Yang Yi used a High-level Abyss Soul Stone to upgrade the Roaring Flintlock into the Infinite Flintlock and planned to work on his Transformation Belt with Banks.
• Yang Yi deciphered a hidden clue in Volume Four: Sweet Centaur Ranch and told Su Na that the White Shard might be needed to enter a White Palace in the Extreme Winter Sea.

Yang Yi tested the Forsworn Shape-Shifting Belt and learned about Banks's past with the Grand Craftsman Jones. After Su Na completed a Beautiful Dream version of the Dream-Entering Potion, Yang Yi received it and a Dream Crystal, which could let him bring his Extraordinary Path, abilities, and magic into dreams under certain restrictions.

• Yang Yi recorded his equipment in the Forsworn Shape-Shifting Belt, put it on, and tested its captain form with the Ratman Hero Cape.
• Yang Yi gave Banks Long Fang to repair and sell, then asked about the maker of the Wave-Edged Scimitar; Banks revealed that Jones had been his former partner and old flame.
• After Banks left, Yang Yi asked Su Na about the Beautiful Dream potion, and she said she needed two or three more days to finish it.
• Two days later, Yang Yi had the Old Captain take the helm while he went to Su Na's Witch Laboratory.

Yang Yi used a Beautiful Dream Crystal to bring his real-world abilities into dreams and prepared to infiltrate Dream Island. After deliberately skipping a beautiful dream, he entered the deep dream and arrived among the Dream Demons’ spore sacs.

• Yang Yi swallowed a Beautiful Dream Crystal and asked Su Na to make one for herself.
• Yang Yi visited the Abyss Nautilus, then had Xiaoji build a reinforced coffin-like raft and secure it beside the Fire Bearer.
• Yang Yi drank three bottles of Beautiful Dream Potion and entered a beautiful dream, where he saw King Sinda and a pink, horned female creature.
• Yang Yi chose to return to sleep without engaging with the beautiful dream, hoping to reach the deep dream.
• Yang Yi woke with his head inside a spore sac among Dream Demons and noticed the sacs and Fleshy Stalks glowed faintly pink.

Yang Yi explored Dream Island’s immense underwater network and discovered an Eden fleet using it as a forward base. He disguised himself as one of their squad captains and slipped into the fleet while it fought off Dream Demons.

• Yang Yi equipped his armor and swam through the fleshy stems and Dream Demons toward the heart of Dream Island.
• Yang Yi found the Eden fleet, with more than three hundred ships and over a thousand people, and heard signs of prisoners and bloodshed.
• Yang Yi cut fleshy stalks to awaken Dream Demons and lure them toward the fleet, then escaped as its members responded to the alarm.
• The Eden fleet used special weapons that released pink powder and put the Dream Demons back to sleep.
• Yang Yi dragged away a squad captain and copied his appearance and diving suit to infiltrate the fleet.

Yang Yi infiltrated Eden’s fleet during its battle with the dream demons and learned about the fleet’s forces, prisoners, and plans for Dream Island. He discovered that Abu Singh intended to use Dream Island’s power to make its dream-altering authority reach reality.

• Yang Yi disguised himself in a captured captain’s Exceptional diving suit and joined Eden’s troops as they fought the dream demons.
• While moving through the battle, Yang Yi estimated Eden’s forces at about 1,200 and learned that its ships held more than three times as many prisoners as guards.
• Eden defeated the dream demons after four hours, using specialized sleep-inducing ammunition and area weapons.
• Yang Yi questioned soldiers after the battle and heard them say that Lord Abu would defeat One-Eye and take Dream Island.
• A soldier explained that Abu Singh planned to channel Dream Island’s power into reality, promising his followers dream worlds and godlike authority.

Yang Yi realized Dream Island’s danger rating might reflect the threat it posed to the world, then learned that occupying the island required expelling its Dream Demons and claiming the Paradise Device. After Abu Singh revealed his control of the device and declared victory, Yang Yi aimed his flintlock at him and fired.

• Yang Yi questioned how Dream Island could be occupied, and Abu Singh explained that players had to expel all Dream Demons before the system would format the Paradise Device and distribute permissions.
• Abu Singh revealed that he had recruited indigenous workers to clear Dream Island and introduced Yang Yi as One-Eye, exposing his identity to the assembled fleet.
• Yang Yi used the Eye of Greed Telescope, with Abu Singh supplying Conch Coins, to see Abu Singh’s body connected to the Paradise Device’s control console.

Pink dream fog poured from Yang Yi’s raft after he entered the Deep Dream, where Abu Singh had strengthened Dream Island’s connection to reality. Yang Yi woke after fleeing Abu Singh and concluded that he needed another way to deal with Dream Island.

• Su Na investigated the pink fog on the Nightmare Star and found that it induced sleep, while seawater and protective gear blocked it.
• A fire broke out beside Yang Yi’s raft, and Xiaoji and the Iron Skeletons helped contain it before Yang Yi leaped out, awake and injured.
• Yang Yi reread the Paradise Device’s description and told Su Na that Eden had occupied the Deep Dream and that Dream Island could be claimed by meeting specific conditions.
• Su Na suspected Yang Yi had brought the fog out of the dream, and Yang Yi concluded that Abu Singh was strengthening the link between Dream Island and reality.

Yang Yi publicized the Sleeping Potion to protect players from the spreading Beautiful Dream Disease and earn funds for Steam Island. When pink fog revealed a new sea inside the Sea of Miracles, Yang Yi recognized it as the Eden Fleet’s location and set sail to confront Abu Singh.

• Yang Yi warned his crew and other players to avoid sleep, then opened Su Na and Su Na Na’s Potion Shop and made information about Dream Island public.
• Abu Singh learned about the potion, replaced his right arm, and vowed to bring Dream Island into reality and unleash the Sea of Dreams.
• Four days later, Beautiful Dream Disease began producing pink fog that pulled nearby creatures into dreams, causing several indigenous islands to fall.
• Ma Dabao reported that pink fog had formed a suspected new sea inside the Sea of Miracles, and Yang Yi identified it as the Eden Fleet’s location.
• Yang Yi ordered Old Captain to sail toward the new sea, intending to defeat Abu Singh.

Reinhardt returned to the Holy Capital with Ito Sho and a group of captured sinners, where the Rose Knight Mosen tested the prisoners by challenging them to make him move. Mosen killed the first attacker with a grotesque hammer and urged the others to try.

• Reinhardt arrived at the fortress checkpoint with Ito Sho and more than thirty shackled prisoners after the Saintess summoned him back.
• Rose Knight Mosen let Reinhardt pass, then directed the prisoners through a side door into a brightly lit hall.
• Mosen released the prisoners and promised them freedom if they could make him move one step.
• One prisoner attacked Mosen with a Meat Saw Axe, but Mosen did not budge.
• Mosen crushed the attacker with a grotesque hammer and threw it toward the remaining prisoners, inviting them to attack.

Mosen slaughtered the remaining prisoners at the Pass, then learned from Reinhardt that the beautiful dream disease had worsened and the Paradise Device was out of control. Meanwhile, Yang Yi confirmed that the Sea of Dreams had appeared and was expanding, and prepared to meet Ma Dabao near the region.

• Mosen killed the prisoners who remained in the room and turned them into weapons with his white soulfire.
• Reinhardt returned to the Pass and told Mosen that the beautiful dream disease had worsened and the Paradise Device was getting out of control.
• Reinhardt rejected Mosen's offer to accompany him, then traveled with Cui Bisi to the Radiant Holy Church outpost near the Sea of Miracles.
• Yang Yi checked reports from the One-Eye Cult and confirmed that a new region called the Sea of Dreams was covered in pink mist.
