The new book is finally out.
The chapter submitted for review last night finally passed review today.
All the good titles were already spoken for, so the new book's title has punctuation in it again.
"Sword Master!"
I'd originally wanted to use "Sword Immortal!" since it fit the subject a little better.
But Sword Master was a jack-of-all-trades sort of title, too.
The new book isn't in any of the genres I'd previously mentioned.
I showed the opening to quite a few friends I knew well and to my editor, and they all agreed I wasn't suited to writing in a doomsday style.
It didn't feel like doomsday at all.
So, at the last moment, I decided to scrap the three existing openings, totaling over fifty thousand words, and rewrite.
And so, after a day's delay, this book, Sword Master!, came into being.
The protagonist isn't as arrogant as Li Xian or Li Pin, nor is he like Li Chunjun, whose eyes wouldn't even dry out after killing for three days and three nights.
The new protagonist, Qin Lian, leans toward being someone who just wants to cultivate quietly and become an immortal.
An ordinary modern person transported to an ancient world with martial arts, seeing people powerful enough to cultivate internal energy and true qi, wouldn't think of focusing on cultivation and striving to become an immortal.
Besides, with ceaseless warfare in ancient times, sects and the imperial family sharing dominion over the realm, and martial artists running rampant, all sorts of dangers lurked. Cultivating until you were invincible under heaven would be safer.
Of course, to cultivate quietly and become an immortal, nipping danger in the bud was imperative.
As for causing a gap in the generation of powerful figures...
Naturally, that was impossible!
It wasn't as though
