"Father, there's a letter!"
Not long after Lillian left, a shout came from outside. Damian walked out in some puzzlement and looked up at the sky, already completely shrouded in night.
A letter at this hour?
When he saw the name on the envelope, a glimmer of understanding finally crossed his face.
"It's that fellow Elliot-no wonder it could arrive at this hour."
At the thought of Elliot, Damian still couldn't help frowning.

Damian certainly didn't think those thirteen hundred pounds in donations had come from the kindness of the gentlemen at Mining United and the Public Security Bureau.
The envelope was unusually thick, seemingly stuffed with quite a few things.
Damian walked to Flora's door and knocked. "Flora, there's a letter for you."
"Leave it there! I'm busy! I'll read it when I have time!" Flora's impatient voice came from inside.
"It's from Elliot."
Bang!
The door was yanked open! Damian felt his hand grow light as a dark blur flashed before his eyes. The envelope had been snatched away, and then, with another bang, the door slammed shut before him.
Damian: "..."
Flora leaned back against the tightly shut door, her heart pounding in her chest!
She clutched the thick letter tightly, her fingertips feeling slightly cold.
Just a moment ago, she had been privately grieving over not receiving a letter, and the next moment, his letter had crossed the night and arrived in her hands.
Could it really be such a coincidence?
Flora stared at Elliot's signature on the envelope in a daze
