At the instant of collision, there was no sound, not even any resistance, as though the white light truly were nothing more than pure moonlight falling upon the monsters.

The only difference, perhaps, was that the Blood Moon's light no longer shone upon them.

The monsters continued charging forward, white light drifting over their bodies as though they were burning.

By the time they reached the people, nothing remained but ashes.

The enormous monsters were burned away completely, leaving patches of residue on the ground. Watching it all, the people looked with some fear at the white light on one another.

Yet the light did not harm them. It merely coated them in a layer of silvery moonlight, lending even this battlefield a touch of ethereal stillness.

The people stared in a daze, watching the monsters charge toward them one after another, only to turn to ash.

Only after a long while did they finally react and begin to cheer.

Watching the monsters turn to ash, Maeve desperately devoured monster corpses as she turned to Simon and said, "You're amazing, big brother!"

She had barely managed to hold back the horde despite giving it everything she had, yet Simon had wiped them all out with a single Formless Art. The white light did not even harm ordinary people; it was absurdly effective against these monsters.

Simon swayed, gave a weak smile, and slowly toppled over.

Startled, Maeve rushed to catch him, shouting anxiously, "What's wrong, big brother? Are you hurt?!"

She looked around, cradling Simon carefully in both hands, and hurried over to Xiao.

"Please save him! Please save my brother!"

Xiao had been bandaging the wounded. At the sight of the enormous monster suddenly rushing up beside him, he fell to the ground in fright and scrambled to flee.
