In the Courtyard.
Victoria had been busy spinning silk.
The girl riding the Dream Creature just now had truly shocked her far too much.
When that rift appeared, Victoria had already felt a pang of dread. By the time He truly descended into the Abode, her entire body was trembling.
As for His identity, there was no need to say more. Those Immortals had knelt and prayed to Him, and He had appeared in this Abode. Who else could He be?
This was Victoria's first time seeing a Great Being with her own eyes.
She felt utterly at a loss, and in her panic, quietly withdrew the webs she had spread haphazardly throughout the Courtyard.
She had thought nothing of it while fighting the Dream Creatures earlier. Laying webs had simply made fighting easier.
But when the Great Being descended, she suddenly remembered that this was the Courtyard. With webs everywhere, wasn't she dirtying this beautiful Courtyard?
Victoria lowered her head, her heart filled with apprehension. She did not know whether the Great Being who had descended here would punish her.
After all, she was not His Immortal yet, and she had stolen quite a lot of building materials.
But from beginning to end, the Great Being paid her no attention.
That made Victoria breathe a sigh of relief, yet she also felt a faint sense of disappointment.
She was so conflicted, so apprehensive, so afraid, yet the Great Being had not even cast His gaze upon her.

The Great Being exchanged a few words with His Believers, then left.
Victoria watched that small figure and the enormous Dream Creature beside Him, unable to stop a trace of longing from rising in her heart.
