After boarding the ship, Elliot split his forces to clear out the monsters throughout the vessel, while he followed the guidance toward Sidney first.
It was worth mentioning that the guidance came from the Nightmare.
It seemed to know of Sidney's predicament. Ever since Elliot had led his people aboard, it had been guiding him from afar outside the portholes.
As it turned out, it had indeed been a great help.
Elliot's opinion of Dream Creatures rose another few notches. These monsters were indeed far more intelligent than he had imagined; they were even subtly controlling the situation.
Elliot glanced at Sidney, then suddenly raised a hand and pointed outside the porthole. "Can you see it?"
Sidney nodded and described it. "An enormous soft-bodied creature with many tentacles. It should be the Nightmare you described. I've been able to see it ever since the infection broke out."
Elliot narrowed his eyes.
Sidney's ability to see the monster meant the Nightmare had dropped its disguise.
They had always pretended to have no intelligence whatsoever, but now they were no longer pretending... Could this also be related to the changes in the monsters on the seabed?
Elliot glanced behind him. Sidney had only a dozen or so people left with him, all the survivors aboard the ship.
Expecting them to operate the ship was unrealistic. Fortunately, everyone in the Reforging Flame was a master at handling machinery.
"Cora, have our people take over this ship. Start emergency repairs immediately and restore power as soon as possible!"
The Judgment Angel was the Expedition Army's flagship, as well as one of its main battleships. If they could repair it, its combat strength would far exceed that of his Gear Hymn, giving them greater confidence against the enemy.
