Yanking the lever all the way down, Elliot scrambled to the side of the Difference Engine and waited anxiously for the core to eject.
This was his cheat. Even if he died, he had to take it with him!
The cover had barely opened a crack when Elliot kicked it. The Difference Engine was solidly built, but he had already undergone Ascension, and his physique far surpassed that of an ordinary person. That single kick actually knocked the steel cover off!
