Divine Revelation had not occurred for two entire eras-at least, none had been recorded.
Yet Elliot had only been in the Sea of the Moon for a few days, and [Casting Forge] had already intervened twice...
As an Otherworlder, Elliot's first instinct was suspicion.
There was no love without reason in this world, nor hatred without reason. The deity must have had something in mind in helping him.
Elliot could only hope this was an investment in him, one he could repay in the future, rather than some convoluted conspiracy.
But there was no use thinking so much about it now. Finding the others quickly mattered more. Elliot did not even know how much time had passed. Perhaps there was no Sea of the Moon anymore.

Under the protection of that layer of flame, however, Elliot neither felt cold nor needed to breathe. Otherwise, he would have suffocated inside the ice wall long ago.
But that layer of flame probably could not keep him from falling to his death.
Looking down, he could not even see the bottom. All he could see were seemingly endless glaciers, with pillars of ice running straight up and down, their tops and bottoms both out of sight.
"What am I supposed to do?"
He turned to look at the pile of discarded metal again, wondering whether he could cobble together a parachute.
Walking over to the pile, Elliot was surprised to discover that there seemed to be many strange things among it.
A steel frog with only one leg, a clockwork spring with gears,
