With that, Elliot pulled Sidney outside without giving him a chance to object.
"Wait! Why are you dragging me along? I've still got plenty to do here. I don't have time to fool around with you!"

He did not put up much resistance, though.
After the Great Being in the Courtyard had startled him earlier, Sidney had remained somewhat dazed.
Elliot's interruption actually helped considerably.
"I'll just treat it as a break," Sidney muttered.
The two passed through the passage together.
Once they reached the top of the High Tower, Elliot patted the Nightmare. "Sorry for the trouble, but please take us to the Library. Keep it quiet."
Long tentacles curled up around them.
Sidney gave him a strange look. "Elliot, why does this Nightmare listen to you?"
"It listens to you too. Haven't you tried?" Elliot glanced at him. "Besides, hasn't it been helping take down all the supplies the crew brought to the top of the tower?"
The Nightmare perched atop the tower was very docile. Whether the Believers needed to transport supplies or get something done, it was happy to help.
"I thought the Great Being here had specifically arranged it..."
Sidney nodded thoughtfully.
Back on the battlefield against the Blood Vampires, Elliot had commanded Dream Creatures in battle.
Perhaps these Dream Creatures really were relatively friendly toward humans.
At least the ones in the Abode were.
