Elliot had little interest in the ceremony. Crawford was completely under the nobles' control and could stir up little trouble. Even if he were arrogant enough to strike at the nobles the moment he took the throne, he would only be forcibly suppressed.

The Old Butler took the book from Elliot and leafed through it, confusion appearing on his face. "I did not prepare this. The carriage was checked beforehand, too, and there were no books. Besides-this is blank inside."
Now Elliot was genuinely a little surprised. He took the book back from the Old Butler, and indeed, not a trace of writing remained on it.
"Shall we stop the carriage and check?" The Old Butler looked around warily.
