Ch. 221Stitches, but a Cursed Spirit

You tracked the transfigured humans’ cursed residue to a sewer and found a stitched, gray-haired cursed spirit who could alter human bodies. When his ambush turned people into living weapons, you stopped fleeing, drew the Soul Liberation Blade, and confronted him.

  • You followed the cursed residue into a sewer and found more transfigured humans wandering helplessly inside.
  • You discovered a gray-haired cursed spirit with stitches like those of a dangerous being from your memories, then sensed a hidden barrier and tried to escape.
  • The cursed spirit pursued you and hurled two grotesquely enlarged human bodies at you as weapons.
  • You saw one of the victims embedded in a fleshy pillar plead for help, and you stopped retreating.
  • You drew the Soul Liberation Blade from your shadow and asked the cursed spirit why he had done this.

Ch. 222Cursed Spirit Manipulation failed

The narrator tried to capture the Special Grade Cursed Spirit Mahito after striking him with Cursed Speech and a rapid sword attack. Cursed Spirit Manipulation failed, and a hidden woman warned Mahito not to damage his body too much.

  • The narrator decided to attack Mahito quickly, then use Cursed Spirit Manipulation to subjugate him and escape the barrier.
  • The narrator immobilized Mahito with Cursed Speech and used Projection Sorcery to slash through his torso and head with the Soul Liberation Blade.
  • The narrator attempted to compress Mahito into a Cursed Spirit Orb, but Mahito's Cursed Energy repelled the technique.
  • Mahito's severed upper body grabbed the narrator's ankle as a hidden woman called to him from the sewer and warned him not to ruin the body.

Ch. 223Multiple souls

The narrator was pinned in the sewer after Mahito crushed one of the souls inside them, erasing their memory of the first simulation. The stitched woman arrived with three special grade cursed spirits, and Mahito declared the narrator ideal experimental material because their other souls kept them alive.

  • The gray-haired cursed spirit attacked the narrator’s soul, destroying a portion of it and wiping out their complete memory of the first simulation.
  • The narrator used Time Perception Expansion to identify the missing memory, while the cursed spirit regenerated and slammed them against a sewer wall.
  • Mahito examined the narrator’s soul and discovered that multiple overlapping souls inhabited their body.
  • The stitched woman arrived with three special grade cursed spirits and asked Mahito what had happened to the narrator.
  • Mahito explained that he had destroyed one of the narrator’s souls but that the others kept them alive, calling them perfect experimental material.

Ch. 224Li Shunchen's True Nature

After Mahito damaged his soul and drained his cursed energy, Li Shunchen understood that his soul contained fragile versions of himself from past simulations and used a feigned collapse to conceal his recovery. He escaped into his shadow as Jogo attacked, then began chanting an incantation in the darkness, preparing to unleash a dangerous technique.

  • Li Shunchen realized that Mahito's blow had destroyed one portion of his composite soul and erased his memories of the First Simulation.
  • Li Shunchen used Life Is Like a Play to fake being helpless while secretly adapting to his weakened state and scanning the stitched woman with Phantom Parade.
  • The stitched woman identified Li Shunchen as the sorcerer who had interfered with the Sukuna test at the Juvenile Detention Center, while Mahito examined the Soul Liberation Blade.
  • Jogo gathered flames to kill Li Shunchen, but Li Shunchen activated Low Presence, Natural Perfection, and Blind Spot Entry, switched Phantom Parade to the Ten Shadows Technique, and escaped into his shadow.
  • Jogo's flames struck the empty corner, and the stitched woman assured the furious Jogo that Li Shunchen could not escape.
  • Inside the shadow space, Li Shunchen clasped his hands and began chanting, "Furube... Yura Yura..."

Ch. 225An instant kill

The woman explained Mahoraga’s adaptation and lethal positive-energy sword as the shikigami emerged and attacked the special grade cursed spirits. Mahoraga instantly killed Dagon, driving Jogo to unleash his Domain Expansion.

  • The woman recognized the cocoon as Mahoraga, which emerged from Li Shunchen’s shadow after he hid himself during its summoning.
  • Jogo’s flames scorched Mahoraga, but its wheel turned and healed its wounds before it attacked Mahito with its positive-energy sword.
  • The woman and Hanami restrained Mahoraga long enough for her to explain its sword and adaptation, but it adapted to their techniques and broke free.
  • Mahoraga ignored Jogo, Mahito, and Hanami and cut Dagon apart, vaporizing the cursed spirit instantly.
  • Jogo erupted in grief and rage and unleashed his Domain Expansion, Coffin of the Iron Mountain.

Ch. 226Maximum Technique: "Meteor"

Jogo unleashed his Maximum Technique, Meteor, against Mahoraga after the Cursed Spirits restrained him with their techniques. The meteor struck in a catastrophic explosion, while a second tremendous blast sounded beneath the first.

  • Jogo expanded Coffin of the Iron Mountain, and its sure-hit attacks burned the narrator, who survived by using New Shadow Style: Simple Domain while remaining hidden in the shadows.
  • After Dagon’s death, Jogo resolved to destroy Mahoraga and began charging Meteor as Mahito and Hanami tried to hold the divine general back.
  • Mahoraga adapted to the domain’s heat, recovered, and charged Mahito, but the stitched woman crushed him with immense pressure before he could strike.
  • Hanami restrained Mahoraga with burning plants and growths inside his body, while Mahito touched his heel and attacked his soul.
  • Jogo’s Meteor slammed into the restrained Mahoraga, triggering a devastating explosion throughout the domain.
  • As the blast swallowed the domain, another tremendous explosion sounded beneath it.

Ch. 227Domain Expansion: "Feast of Light Sea"

The sorcerer survived Jogo’s explosion and used its flames to overwhelm and capture Hanami. He then unleashed Hanami’s Domain Expansion inside Jogo’s Coffin of the Iron Mountain, leaving the two special grade domains clashing.

  • After Mahoraga was killed, the sorcerer left Shadow Space and used Directional Blast Boundary to redirect Jogo’s lingering explosion.
  • The sorcerer focused most of the redirected flames on Hanami, then stabbed it with the Inverted Spear of Heaven and captured it with Cursed Spirit Manipulation.
  • The sorcerer swallowed Hanami’s cursed spirit orb while Jogo and the short-haired woman reacted to his counterattack.
  • The sorcerer summoned Hanami’s Domain Expansion, Feast of Light Sea, inside Jogo’s Coffin of the Iron Mountain.
  • Feast of Light Sea spread through Jogo’s domain as the two domains’ rules collided.

Ch. 228Then, see you in a moment...

With his body and cursed energy exhausted, the sorcerer used Hanami to wound Jogo and Mahito, then realized the stitched woman wanted to take over his body. He shot himself with an ordinary gun to prevent her from claiming it, and died.

  • The sorcerer forced the wounded Hanami to attack Jogo, then used Hanami's body in Maximum: Uzumaki to pierce Jogo and blast Mahito away.
  • Jogo froze as he realized Hanami had been sacrificed and erased, while the stitched woman grew more intent on taking the sorcerer's body.
  • With his soul, body, and cursed energy spent, the sorcerer switched Phantom Parade back to the Ten Shadows Technique and drew a mundane handgun from his shadow.
  • The sorcerer pressed the gun to his temple and told the stitched woman, "Then, see you in a moment..."
  • The stitched woman understood his plan and ordered the cursed spirits to stop him, but the sorcerer pulled the trigger and died.

Ch. 229Kill them

After Li Shunchen died by his own hand, his suppressed hatred and killing intent overwhelmed the Buddhist chants he heard in death and transformed him into a Cursed Spirit. He rose inside Jogo’s domain and attacked with mindless fury, leaving Jogo and the others facing a newly transformed enemy.

  • Li Shunchen’s soul heard Buddhist chants after death, but his rage and final curse drowned them out and turned him into a Cursed Spirit.
  • The stitched-forehead woman questioned why Li Shunchen had killed himself and wondered what was inside him.
  • Li Shunchen’s charred corpse began moving, and the woman, Mahito, and Jogo sensed the change in his nature.
  • Jogo rejoiced at the chance to kill Li Shunchen himself and slammed him between two enormous hands of lava.
  • Li Shunchen roared and struggled against the lava, acting on the instinct to kill rather than using reason or Cursed Techniques.

Ch. 230The Shackles Called Reason

After becoming a cursed spirit, the narrator broke free of human limits but struggled against the clash between his rational mind and his murderous instincts. As Jogo and Mahito watched, his grotesque new body prepared to unleash Hollow Technique: Purple.

  • The narrator survived Jogo’s magma attack, used cursed speech to explode the giant hands, and discovered that Reverse Cursed Technique threatened to destroy his cursed-spirit body.
  • The narrator grew a second head, while Mahito studied his transformation and concluded that the release of his human restraints had exposed the stacked souls within him.
  • Jogo sent Ember Insects to attack the narrator, whose charred legs broke under his weight before the insects’ sure-hit explosions devastated his body.
  • The narrator’s body grew additional heads and arms, but his rational thinking clashed with his murderous instincts and left him unable to fight effectively.
  • The narrator abandoned human logic, formed a hand sign with his four arms, and invoked Hollow Technique: Purple against Jogo and Mahito.

Ch. 231Without Desire

The newly transformed Cursed Spirit killed Jogo with unstable Hollow Purple blasts, then attacked Mahito with the Soul Liberation Blade and Resonance. Mahito’s domain collapsed from the soul strike, but an unseen attacker began smashing the protagonist apart before they could finish him.

  • The protagonist’s unstable Hollow Purple badly wounded Jogo and shattered the Coffin of the Iron Mountain domain, then a second blast exorcised Jogo.
  • As the protagonist’s body collapsed and reconstructed, their restraints weakened and they regained enough reason to target Mahito, retrieving the Soul Liberation Blade with Blue.
  • The protagonist charged through Mahito’s transfigured humans using Inversion Cursed Technique, but Mahito opened Self-Embodiment of Perfection after replacing his severed hand with hands from his mouth.
  • Inside Mahito’s domain, the protagonist endured Idle Transfiguration and used Straw Doll Technique: Resonance through Mahito’s severed hand and the Soul Liberation Blade, gravely damaging Mahito and collapsing the domain.
  • As the protagonist prepared to strike Mahito again, an unseen force blasted off the arm holding the blade and then smashed away the other arm and further parts of their body.

Ch. 232I was... the most heinous of them all

Li Shunchen was left dying after the stitched woman struck him with blood empowered by two cursed techniques, but the return of his reason revealed that the voices in his mind had always been his own. He confronted the truth about his stacked-soul body and began a Domain Expansion as he lamented the worlds born because of him.

  • The stitched woman blasted apart Li Shunchen’s arm and torso with a compressed blood attack, then sent him crashing into a sewer wall.
  • The woman explained to the helpless Li Shunchen that she had targeted him before Suguru Geto to avoid releasing the cursed spirits stored in Geto’s body.
  • As Li Shunchen neared death, he recognized that both the murderous commands and the murmurs of the eight consciousnesses had come from his own voice.
  • Li Shunchen understood the nature of his stacked-soul body, wept in despair, and declared that he had been the most heinous of them all.
  • Li Shunchen said the worlds born because of him would not end with his death, then grew a new pair of arms and began Domain Expansion: Ālaya Consciousness.

Ch. 233Suguru Geto's grave

The woman with stitches across her forehead was caught off guard when your Domain Expansion transformed the sewer into a realistic cemetery and revealed you in human form with stitches matching her own. Beside Suguru Geto’s grave, you mourned and told her the stitches were probably what she had left on you.

  • The woman entered your Domain Expansion and found herself in a quiet cemetery, unable to locate you at first.
  • She spotted you among the gravestones in human form and recognized your cursed energy as that of a living jujutsu sorcerer.
  • The woman noticed stitches across your forehead that matched the marks left by her cursed technique.
  • You stood beside a gravestone inscribed with Suguru Geto’s name, touched your stitches, and wept.
  • The woman questioned what the stitches were, and you said they were probably what she had left on you.

Ch. 234What Are You Waiting For

At Suguru Geto’s gravestone, the woman questioned the narrator about his stitched forehead and the strange causal effects of his domain, Ālaya Consciousness. He revealed that he had been buying time to analyze her technique, then charged at her after obtaining her gravity and anti-gravity abilities, while she prepared to test his weakened human form.

  • The narrator told the woman that a different version of her had left the stitches on his forehead, though she could not remember doing so.
  • He explained that the cemetery and the events he tried to change had existed elsewhere, and that people saved in new branches could not replace those who had died originally.
  • The woman inferred that Ālaya Consciousness interfered with causality and asked whether he was stalling for something.
  • The narrator declared that he still had things he needed to do, then completed his analysis of her cursed technique and acquired her control over gravity and anti-gravity.
  • The narrator crushed the bluestone beneath him and rushed at the woman, who noticed his reduced cursed energy and braced herself eagerly for the fight.

Ch. 235Rather Rude, Wouldn't You Say?

The narrator used rapid technique switches and precise timing to overpower the stitched woman, exploiting Limitless to bypass her gravity and striking her with Divine Dog: Totality and Blue. The chapter ended with the woman angrily confronting him as he claimed Limitless meant he had not touched her.

  • The narrator identified the stitched woman's techniques and decided she was the highest-priority target despite Mahito watching from nearby.
  • The narrator used Projection Sorcery to charge the woman, then switched to Limitless to pass through her gravitational defense and punch her.
  • The narrator switched to Ten Shadows Technique and wounded the woman with Divine Dog: Totality.
  • The narrator returned to Limitless, thrust his hand into the woman's chest, and activated Blue to tear apart her insides.
  • The woman accused the narrator of being rude, and he replied that Limitless meant he should not have touched her.

Ch. 236How was that possible?

The narrator tried to trap the woman in a stalemate, but she pierced Limitless with a technique that neutralized cursed techniques and gravely wounded them. After both apparently died in a clash of attacks, the narrator’s original cursed-spirit form survived and prepared a final collision of Red and Blue.

  • The narrator used Blue inside the woman’s chest to force her to expand her domain, hoping to break it and exploit her cursed technique burnout without drawing Yuji Itadori and the others into the fight.
  • The woman coated her fist in special cursed energy that bypassed Limitless, then struck the narrator with Gravity and destroyed half their face.
  • The narrator chanted the full incantation for Cursed Technique Reversal: Red while the woman pierced their skull and crushed their brain; Red then tore through her waist and abdomen as the narrator died and their domain collapsed.
  • The woman heard the narrator’s voice and discovered their weakened original cursed-spirit form still embedded in the sewer wall, able to use its cursed technique despite the domain’s destruction.
  • The narrator formed Blue and brought it into resonance with the lingering Red, causing the two attacks to fuse into a deadly purple radiance.

Ch. 237You have been exorcised

Li Shunchen exhausted his remaining strength in a final Hollow Technique: Purple against the woman, only to recognize her Domain Expansion as the same technique used by the mysterious parasite who killed him in a previous simulation. The woman crushed his body with gravity as the attack collided with her domain, and the simulation ended with his exorcism.

  • Li Shunchen used his last strength to unleash Hollow Technique: Purple, while his cursed spirit body began to disintegrate.
  • The woman formed Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion to counter the attack.
  • Li Shunchen recognized Womb Profusion as the domain of the mysterious parasite who had killed him in a previous simulation.
  • Li Shunchen concluded that the clash would leave the woman gravely wounded and depleted, giving Yuji Itadori and the others a better chance to survive.
  • The woman used gravity to crush Li Shunchen as Hollow Technique: Purple collided with her domain, and the simulation ended with the notification that he had been exorcised.

Ch. 238How Disgusting

After the simulation ended with Li Shunchen’s death, its memories and rewards flooded into him, leaving him overwhelmed by guilt over the people who had died in the simulated worlds. When Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo rushed into his dorm, Li Shunchen hid his anguish and told them it was nothing.

  • The system reported Li Shunchen’s death in the simulation and granted him memories, experience, cursed energy, and new talents.
  • Li Shunchen was overwhelmed by vivid memories of suffering and broke down, blaming himself for the deaths caused across the simulated worlds.
  • He imagined his dorm filling with blood and corpses, including Suguru Geto’s and Yu Haibara’s, then lit a cigarette and called himself disgusting.
  • The noise and cursed energy fluctuations alerted Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo, who rushed into Li Shunchen’s room.
  • Li Shunchen turned slightly toward them, hid his sobs, and said that nothing had happened.

Ch. 239Shunchen, did you confess to Shoko only to get mercilessly rejected?

Li Shunchen was overwhelmed by horrific memories of his simulations, but hid his distress from Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo by claiming he had dreamed about his parents’ deaths. After regaining his composure, he asked Geto to spar with him.

  • Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo found Li Shunchen in a wrecked room, visibly devastated, and Geto took away his cigarette and asked what had happened.
  • Li Shunchen hallucinated Suguru Geto as both his traitorous future self and the stitched mastermind, and resolved to keep bearing his secrets alone.
  • Satoru Gojo mistakenly concluded that Li Shunchen had confessed to Shoko Ieiri and been rejected, prompting an argument with Suguru Geto.
  • Li Shunchen used the Card, Life Is Like a Play, to lock away his distress and told his friends that a nightmare about his parents had upset him.
  • Li Shunchen stood up, felt his increased Cursed Energy, and asked Suguru Geto to spar with him.

Ch. 240Ālaya Consciousness

Li Shunchen challenged Suguru Geto to spar and unleashed a Domain Expansion that transformed Jujutsu High's field into a filthy sewer. Satoru Gojo's Six Eyes revealed that Li Shunchen had become a cursed spirit.

  • Li Shunchen asked Suguru Geto to spar, and Geto agreed while Satoru Gojo watched resentfully.
  • The three went to Jujutsu High's athletic field, where Li Shunchen warned Geto that he might not be able to control his strength.
  • Li Shunchen performed the Trailokyavijaya Mudra and activated his Domain Expansion, Ālaya Consciousness.
  • The domain transformed the field into a vast, dark sewer and surrounded them with cursed energy on the level of a special grade.
  • Satoru Gojo examined Li Shunchen with his Six Eyes and realized that Li Shunchen was a cursed spirit.
