Sakura Haruno smashed the magnificent door to pieces with a single punch!
With a clang, large fragments fell to the floor with a tremendous crash.
The three rushed into the room and immediately spotted Hibana Hyuga lying fast asleep on the bed.
"Hanabi." Sakura hurried to the bedside, her voice unconsciously softening.
When Hanabi showed no response at all, Sakura quickly reached out to check her breathing. Only after finding nothing wrong did she sigh in relief.
One glance at the gauze covering Hanabi's eyes told all three of them what had happened without any need for thought.
A pale green light shone in Sakura's palm, and medical chakra traveled along Hanabi's chakra pathways throughout her body, checking her condition.
"How is she?"
Kiba Inuzuka leaned against a nearby wall, his eyes fixed on the doorway and his ears pricked up, listening for any movement in the corridor.
Sakura looked grim, clearly furious at Otsutsuki Toneri for treating Hibana this way.
She paused, withdrew the green light from her palm, and spoke in a slightly lighter tone. "Her life isn't in danger, but we need to get her back to Konoha to rest and recover as soon as possible."
Toneri had only wanted to take Hanabi's Byakugan, not kill her.
Otherwise, Hanabi would not have survived this long.
But having her Byakugan taken had affected her considerably.
So even if they recovered Hanabi's Byakugan later, she would not regain her health so easily. She might need some time to rest and recover properly.
She bent down and lifted Hanabi off the bed.
Hanabi was far lighter than she had imagined. She had clearly suffered a great deal over the past few days, and her already slender body looked even frailer.
"Let's go. Pull out."
