Momoshiki quickly retreated to evade him.
But before he could regain his footing, Sasuke's sword was already before him.
The Kusanagi Sword thrust three times at extremely close range, each strike aimed straight at a vital point.
The first thrust targeted his throat, the second slashed at his wrist, and the third swept across his waist.
The three strikes flowed together without a gap, forcing Momoshiki to keep retreating.
Momoshiki swung his Black Rod left and right to parry. Metallic clashes rang out as densely as raindrops, and crimson sparks kept spraying through the narrow space between them.
He blocked the first strike. The second slid along the rod, leaving a shallow bloody cut on the back of his hand.
As the third strike swept toward him, he abruptly bent backward. The blade skimmed his chest and abdomen, cutting a slit in his robes.
After steadying himself, Momoshiki abruptly counterattacked.
He thrust his right palm forward. The Rinnegan in his palm blazed with purple light, and an invisible repulsive force suddenly erupted.
Sasuke bore the brunt of it. The force blasted him away, and he tumbled through the air several times before barely managing to land. Only by plunging the Kusanagi Sword deep into the ground did he halt his backward slide.
Naruto, however, relied on his formidable strength and abundant chakra to withstand Shinra Tensei's repulsive force head-on and charged at Momoshiki again.
"Get lost!"
The Black Rod swept across with savage force, its arc tearing a visible band of vacuum through the air.
Naruto's golden chakra collided head-on with the
