The ground here in the alternate space had changed completely.
The flat, gray-white rock layers had vanished entirely.
In their place lay a stretch of shattered ruins.
Enormous craters appeared one after another, the smallest dozens of meters across and the largest almost half the size of a village.
Their bottoms were too deep to see, and the rocks along their edges were unnaturally charred black, as though scorched by extremely hot chakra.
Some craters also had distinct radial cracks along their edges, stretching from the bottom to dozens of meters away.
The fissures were even more shocking.
Huge fissures stretched across the ground, some more than ten meters wide and others dozens of meters deep, gaping hideously like wounds in the earth.
Their edges were jagged. In some places, something sharp had clearly sliced straight through, leaving surfaces as smooth as mirrors.
Elsewhere, tremendous force had torn the ground apart, twisting the rock out of shape and scattering fragments along both sides of the fissures.
Rubble lay piled like mountains.
Rocks of every size littered the entire area, some only as large as fists, others several meters tall, like small hills.
The rubble followed no pattern. In some places, it was packed so densely that passage was almost impossible; elsewhere, some force had swept everything clean, leaving only bare rock.
Farther away, an entire stretch of ground had collapsed into an enormous basin.
Fine rock fragments covered the bottom of the basin like crushed gravel.
Layers upon layers of fractured rock lined its edges, creating an incredibly spectacular sight.
The whole area resembled ruins after the apocalypse.
Everyone on the rescue team involuntarily stopped in their tracks.
"This..."
"What level of battle could have caused destruction like this?"
No one answered.
In truth, they all had an answer in
