Gazing at the flames and thick smoke rising from the distant Fire Temple, Kakashi Hatake and the others sent to provide support picked up speed in unison.

After a brief explanation, Pakkun twitched his nose and soon picked up the scent Sasuke and the others had just left behind as Naruto watched anxiously.
"They haven't gotten far. This way!"
Having caught the scent, Pakkun immediately raced out of the temple on all fours. "Follow me!"
Naruto, Might Guy, and Rock Lee took the lead and followed him.
Before leaving, Kakashi cautioned them, "Sakura, Tenten, stay here and treat the wounded for now. Be careful-the enemy might launch a surprise attack!"
