Tsunade's sudden appearance left him puzzled.
When had she arrived?
Given the current distance between Allied Shinobi Forces headquarters and the Fourth Division, even if they had discovered the former Five Kage and sent reinforcements, they should not have arrived this quickly.
"Did Tsunade reach the battlefield so quickly using Space-Time Ninjutsu?" Kabuto Yakushi wondered. That was the most likely possibility.
Though his guess was wrong, it was not far off.
The Heavenly Transfer Technique's effects were actually not all that different from Space-Time Ninjutsu.
The Fourth Kazekage had already lost to Gaara and been sealed away. The remaining Four Kage did not look as though they could hold out much longer.
That was assuming Kabuto Yakushi personally controlled the Four Kage in their battle against the Allied Shinobi Forces. Otherwise, the outcome was already obvious.
But he would soon have to focus on the main battlefield and could not spare any attention for the fighting here.
He could only let the Four Kage fight on their own.
Kabuto Yakushi raised his fingers, preparing to project his will into the Second Tsuchikage and control him in battle.
But then he lowered his fingers. "There are only a few minutes left. Even if I intervene now, it won't accomplish anything."
Shaking his head, Kabuto Yakushi gave up on intervening for the moment.
Even if he controlled the Four Kage to fight the Allied Shinobi Forces now, he would not be able to keep it up much longer.
The main battlefield would require his full attention.
The primary purpose of the other battlefields was merely to intercept reinforcements. As long as that objective was achieved, inflicting casualties on the Allied Shinobi Forces was secondary.
