"Report! A new message has arrived from the Main Battlefield!"
The lights in the enormous conference room had burned all night, and ninja bustled back and forth, busy with their work.
The Battle Map hanging on the wall marked each division's position and information. Shikaku Nara and Dodai conferred in low voices as they issued orders.
"Read it!"
"Yes!"
The ninja from the Liaison Unit relayed the message from the front to Shikaku and the others in concise, precise terms.
Dodai immediately approved the frontline commanders' suggestion. "Since that's what they have in mind too, send a reply to the Allied Shinobi Forces in the Land of Waves. Have them rest and regroup for the night."
"Mm." Shikaku nodded, then turned to look at the map. "A little rest would be good."
"But we need to give the Allied Shinobi Forces in the Land of Waves an exact departure time. Lord Dodai, what time do you think would be best?"
Dodai thought for a moment. "Have them set out at first light. No later!"
"That works. After all, we don't know when the enemy might launch an attack on the Main Battlefield. If they arrive early, they can help Kakashi and the others fight."
