"Tsunade!"
Led by the ninja guiding them, Jiraiya strode over.
Looking at Tsunade seated before the campfire, he was surprised to find fatigue showing on her face.
"Granny Tsunade!"
Naruto Uzumaki followed behind Jiraiya, greeting her with a broad smile.
"Oh, you're here." Tsunade lazily raised a hand in a thoroughly halfhearted welcome.
Once their guide withdrew, Jiraiya and Naruto sat down beside Tsunade.
"That tired? You look like you haven't slept in days."
Jiraiya glanced around. "You may have a lot of ninja with you, but surely it shouldn't leave you this exhausted."
Tsunade yawned. "Don't you know?"
"Leading the team isn't the problem. It's all the wounded, and a large portion of them are seriously injured. I have to keep watch over their condition at all times. How could I not be tired?"
"On top of that, with a force this big, I have to make every decision."
"All right. Now that I'm here, I'll take over leading the force back to Konoha," Jiraiya said, a little embarrassed.
He had nearly forgotten how many wounded there were in the contingent of the Allied Shinobi Forces Tsunade was leading.
And with so many seriously injured, there really was a lot to attend to.
Even if he could take over command of this allied force from Tsunade, he could do little to help with the wounded.
So Tsunade would still have to handle that herself.
After all, Medical Ninjutsu was not his forte.
"Granny Tsunade, did Sakura come with you too?" Seeing an opening, Naruto hurriedly cut in.
Tsunade gave him a speechless look. This kid...
As Sakura Haruno's teacher, Tsunade knew very well that Sakura's thoughts were all focused on Sasuke Uchiha.
Of course, Sakura and Naruto had a good relationship too.
But there was nothing romantic between them
