Chapter Summaries

Arthur escaped two slave hunters and begged Wangcai and Loa to rescue his sister Muse. Loa found and destroyed the slave hunters’ vessel, rescued Muse, and returned with her to the lakeside Metal Castle.

• Two Highgod slave hunters cornered Arthur, but Wangcai freed him and caught him as he fell.
• Arthur told Wangcai and Loa that the slave hunters had captured Muse while she helped him escape.
• Loa tracked the hunters to their Metal Lifeform, cut it in half, rescued the unconscious Muse, and killed the fleeing hunters.
• Wangcai interrogated the two captured hunters, learned what he needed, and killed them.
• Arthur waited anxiously with Wangcai until Loa approached the Metal Castle with Muse.

Muse woke in Loa’s care after a week unconscious, and she told him that she and Arthur were the children of the Moon Elf King, who had tried to kill them. When Muse asked Loa to take Arthur out of the Life Godrealm, Loa instead offered to train him for fifty years.

• Loa used a Soul Crystal to ease Muse’s soul injuries after she woke and tried to use her divine sense.
• Muse learned from Arthur how Loa and Wangcai had rescued them, then thanked the two men for their help.
