Everyone came away from the library with a rich haul. Not only had they obtained the original Firebending technique, "Dancing Dragon," as planned, but they had also learned the date of the next solar eclipse.
As a Firebending technique created by the earliest Firebenders imitating the movements of dancing dragons, Dancing Dragon was more balanced and peaceful than the modified Firebending techniques, aptly embodying the energy and life that fire represented.
But while it was less prone to going out of control, its power was indeed inferior to that of modified Firebending. It had its advantages and disadvantages.
Aang clearly preferred Dancing Dragon, while Kahn had no particular preference and merely treated it as a reference.
Meanwhile, Sokka was extremely excited about the news of the solar eclipse, believing they had gained a perfect opportunity:
"All Firebenders lose their Firebending during a solar eclipse. Isn't that the perfect time to attack?! We have to bring this news to the Earth Kingdom's king as soon as possible!"
However, Kahn threw cold water on his enthusiasm from the sidelines:
"Although a solar eclipse really is devastating for Firebenders, I'd advise you not to place too much importance on it."
Hearing this, Aang asked:
"Why do you say that?"
"Because totality usually only lasts a few minutes. That's too short for a war, with too little room for error."
Kahn spread his hands:
"And if you're planning a Decapitation Operation, the few of us already have more than enough fighting power. There's no need to wait for a solar eclipse. We can go whenever we want."
"Just the few of us?"
Sokka looked disbelieving, and so did everyone else.
