Black Cat Lili walked into this laboratory of the Ancient Humans—or rather, a place of "treasure," as far as she was concerned.
She glanced around. The furnishings had a technological feel, and every object was arranged neatly.
Tables, chairs, equipment, experimental apparatus, screens, and lights filled her eyes.
A great many manufactured objects filled the entire space, and this was only the first chamber of the whole laboratory.
Black Cat Lili could see many more passages branching off.
Yet, though there were many objects,
many of the objects in this laboratory had already decayed.
She saw
that on the corroded metal tables and chairs, the transparent bottles and jars had long since been emptied.
This left Black Cat Lili disappointed. She had thought she might find some valuable medicines among them.
After carefully scanning the layout and objects in this experimental hall, she entered the widest passage.
She made her way through corridors blazing with white light, passing one compartment and room after another.
She saw many things she had never seen before.
Although this entire underground space retained many objects left behind by humans in Ancient Times, most had already decayed.
Still, this trip had already been worthwhile for her.
She had seen many things rarely encountered in the present age of intelligent animals.
If she brought the objects here into the animal world, great wealth and prosperity would be assured.
For even now, intelligent animals still struggled to reproduce certain things made by ancient humans.
But Black Cat Lili still did not stop. She continued exploring deeper inside.
She had completely forgotten the traps and dangers that ancient legends said were certain to lurk within treasures.
Although she possessed intelligence, she still had the boundless curiosity of a cat.
At last, she reached the end of this laboratory
