In a desert stood a massive grotto.
Within this grotto lay a world of its own.
It contained magnificent murals depicting bodhisattvas with lowered brows, wrathful King Kong, or the Buddha smiling as he held a flower...
The murals were so lifelike that it seemed as though all the gods and Buddhas of the heavens had truly gathered here.
This was the Ten Thousand Buddha Grotto.
Here, countless cultivators gazed at the surrounding murals, unable to hide their amazement.
Some saw the myriad faces of mortal life in the murals, some saw the past and future, and others saw wealth and glory...
What each person saw was different. It was profoundly miraculous.
At the end of these murals stood a statue of a Buddhist seated cross-legged.
The statue looked like a living person, seated with its palms together, and in its palms rested an irregular golden "stone."
Faint Buddha light flowed over the "stone," with Dao patterns interwoven across its surface. Faint strains of Brahma sound drifted from it. It was a Buddhist Relic!
Many Heavenly Pride cultivators approached the Śarīra. Some looked bewildered, while others acted crazed, as though they had fallen into some sort of illusion. The closer they drew to the Buddhist Relic, the worse it became.
This made many people extremely wary, not daring to approach rashly.
