The Thunder God Religion.
Statues of gods were enshrined within an incomparably magnificent temple.
Before the statues, countless believers were praying. Some particularly devout believers had even paid their respects to every single statue.
Yet today, all the statues in the temple suddenly began trembling one after another, shocking every believer.
"Wh-what's going on?"
"Why have the statues suddenly started moving on their own?"
The Thunder God Religion's cultivators noticed this as well. Believing someone was tampering with the statues, they hurriedly sent people to investigate.
However, they found nothing unusual.
There were no signs that anyone had applied spiritual power to the statues. But if no one was controlling them, why were they moving on their own?
The Thunder God Religion's cultivators exchanged bewildered looks. While they were puzzling over it, unrest had already broken out among the believers.
"Why are the statues doing this?"
"Is it because we aren't devout enough? But I've already paid all my monthly offerings."
"So have I. Isn't that enough to show our devotion? Do they really want us to offer up our lives?"
"What kind of god acts like this?"
"O god, what exactly are you trying to tell us?"
Seeing the believers' faith wavering, a Thunder God Religion cultivator hurriedly stepped forward and called out to the crowd, "Everyone, don't worry. Our god has been moved by your devotion, so he is manifesting his presence to answer you. Please join me in worshipping the Thunder God."
After the cultivator finished speaking, the others exchanged looks. They seemed to find some sense in his words, and they knelt before the statues one after another.
"The Thunder God has manifested! The Thunder God has manifested..."
Yet as everyone worshipped and cried out, the statues not only continued trembling, but shook even more violently.
