Dugu Yan felt as though something had suddenly exploded inside her head.
Her cheeks flushed scarlet at a speed visible to the naked eye.
That enticing pink spread all the way along her fair cheeks.
Even the roots of her ears took on a rouge tint.
"Who likes you! Stop talking nonsense!"
She stammered her rebuttal, her usual arrogance utterly gone.
Her emerald eyes darted about in panic like those of a startled fawn.
She did not dare meet Tang Tian's smiling eyes at all.
Her body, however, was exceedingly honest.
Her hands snapped together, shutting the jade box with a clap, before she clutched it tightly to her chest.
She looked as protective as an animal guarding its food, as though terrified Tang Tian might change his mind and snatch it back.
Watching this adorable display of her mouth denying what her body admitted, Tang Tian could not help chuckling.
His laughter only made Dugu Yan more embarrassed and annoyed.
Her already scarlet cheeks looked almost ready to drip.
She shot Tang Tian a fierce glare.
Yet her gaze had no bite whatsoever.
Instead, it brimmed with coy indignation:
"What are you laughing at! What's so funny!"
Tang Tian straightened, that indulgent smile still on his lips, and shook his head.
"Nothing. Take the pill tonight. Remember to circulate your Soul Power and guide its medicinal energy properly. Don't waste it."
With that, he made to turn and leave.
