Meeting Chen Feng

Three years before the opening chapter, Chen Feng appeared without warning in Bibi Dong’s bedchamber. She initially intended to kill him, but spared him after learning about his transcendent god-level Family Tree Martial Soul and innate level-twenty soul power. She placed him under house arrest to use the martial soul’s strengthening effects and resist the corrosion of Rakshasa evil qi 1.

Their relationship became intimate, and Chen Feng deliberately spent those three years making her fall in love with him. The dark-purple branch representing Bibi Dong eventually bore fruit, indicating that she had fallen for him completely. She came to regard her attachment as an inner demon that would prevent her from passing her Divine Trial, yet could neither kill him nor willingly let him leave 1.

Arranging Qian Renxue’s Marriage

Bibi Dong’s solution was to appoint Chen Feng as Spirit Hall’s Holy Son, become his teacher, and marry him to her daughter, Qian Renxue. She believed the marriage would extinguish her own romantic hopes while keeping his exceptional talent within Spirit Hall 1 3.

Qian Daoliu initially refused the marriage. Bibi Dong secured his agreement by explaining that becoming Chen Feng’s family would strengthen Qian Renxue and improve her prospects in the Angel God Trial. She concealed her personal reason for arranging the match 2 3.

When Qian Renxue returned and refused, Bibi Dong threatened to expose her Infiltration Plan. Qian Renxue accepted on the condition that she could leave immediately after the wedding; Bibi Dong required her to remain for one night 12.

The Wedding and Inner Demon

After the hurried ceremony, Bibi Dong listened outside the Holy Son Hall while Chen Feng and Qian Renxue staged an apparent consummation. Believing their performance, she departed to prepare to cut away her inner demon. Chen Feng later interrupted those preparations to obtain medicine for Qian Renxue 13 14.

Her attachment remained unresolved afterward: seeing Chen Feng at the academy still quickened her heartbeat, and she reminded herself not to let him interfere with her attempt to overcome the inner demon 16.

Bibi Dong is described as poised and regal, wearing a long purple gown during the wedding-night scene 14.

Personality

Bibi Dong maintains a cool, authoritative manner in public and readily uses coercion to secure her goals. She threatens to kill every woman in the world if Chen Feng refuses the marriage and later uses Qian Renxue’s secret mission as leverage against her 1 12.

Her behavior toward Chen Feng contradicts that outward detachment. She insists he stop touching her but continues allowing him into her private space, secretly keeps his gifts, and refuses Qian Daoliu’s offer to teach him in the Worship Hall because it would make him harder to see 3 4 6.

She also becomes visibly irritated by his pursuit of Hu Liena. During the academy challenges, she repeatedly relaxes restrictions on his opponents in an effort to have someone teach him a lesson, while still forbidding them from killing or crippling him 8 9 10.
