"What is it?"
Hearing Yingcao's voice, Mei took Yōki's hand and walked over to her.
"My Tsukumo has grown grass on its head, and... it feels so strange." Seeing Mei approach, Yingcao held out the Tsukumo in her hands with a puzzled expression.
Mei looked at the fluffy Tsukumo in little Yingcao's hands and found that... it really was incredibly bizarre.
First of all, Tsukumo's eyes had become even more terrifying. Just looking into those blood-red eyes sent chills down one's spine, as though one were gazing upon an endless sea of blood. Besides that... Tsukumo's mouth had changed too. Sharp fangs protruded from its mouth, much like the teeth of the Oni.
The biggest change, however, was that... blades of grass had actually sprouted from its head. What was more, those blades had grown into the shape of a bow, in an adorably cute style.
Combined with Tsukumo's terrifying eyes and fangs, that cute bow gave off an indescribably eerie feeling.
The once adorable Tsukumo had now... how should one put it... become ugly-cute.
"Lord Mei, what happened to Tsukumo? Will it be all right? Isn't it something from the Oni? Why did grass grow on its head?"
Seeing Mei freeze up, little Yingcao asked worriedly.
Although Tsukumo was like a doll that could neither speak nor move, it had accompanied Yingcao for many years. She had long since grown attached to it.
