Seele took Asou Yuna back to the shrine. Asou Yuna was already yawning, occasionally squinting her eyes, looking incredibly sleepy.
When they reached the bedroom, Asou Yuna collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep immediately. She could not even be bothered to wash up, but Seele did not say anything. After all, it really was too late, and they still had class tomorrow.
The remaining time might not be enough. She would definitely doze off in class tomorrow.
Seele helped Asou Yuna take off her shoes and coat, then lifted her onto the bed, tucked her in properly, and covered her with a blanket. Looking at Asou Yuna sound asleep, she felt an overwhelming warmth.
Then Seele simply sat beside her and watched her.
Although it was late, Seele was not particularly sleepy. As a Valkyrie... even though she was rather timid and weak-willed, staying awake for several days and nights would not be a problem.
Her body could handle it completely...
Looking at Asou Yuna before her, Seele suddenly thought of... her younger sister.
Asou Yuna felt just like her younger sister, and Seele truly treated her as one.
"Seele, why are you staring at this little girl? Aren't you going to sleep?" A red butterfly appeared beside her, and Black Seele stood behind Seele as she asked softly.
"Seele isn't very sleepy. I'll sleep later."
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing... Oh, right. We let the Oni King's soul go. Will it come looking for us again?"
Seele looked at this other version of herself and thought of the Oni King's escaped soul. It felt like an uncontrollable ticking time bomb that might come knocking at any moment.
"What's there to be afraid of? We could defeat it at its peak, much less a mere fragment of its
