The two of them walked to the nearby restaurants, looked around briefly, and ultimately chose a very ordinary Japanese restaurant.
"I'll have a teriyaki chicken rice bowl. What about you, Seele?"
"Me... I'll have a curry chicken rice bowl!"
Seele looked over the menu and chose something that looked more appetizing.
"Yes, one teriyaki chicken rice bowl and one teriyaki chicken rice bowl, please."
Kujou Oto hurriedly told the server.
It would take some time for the food to be ready. After thinking for a moment, Seele asked Kujou Oto again, "Oto, aren't you planning to go to class today?"
Even though there was only about an hour left until school ended!
"It's fine. I actually took leave!"
Kujou Oto lay sprawled across the table and waved her hand dismissively.
"..."
Seele stared at her in stunned silence. She had been under the impression that... Oto had really skipped class!
"Sorry, I lied to you at first, Seele. But I really did take leave for certain reasons."
"Forget it, it's fine..."
Seele shook her head, not knowing what to say.
"Oh, right, Seele... can I go take a look at your shrine?" Less than a few seconds later, Kujou Oto suddenly looked at Seele expectantly.
"Um... but I still have things to do later. If we go to the shrine, I might not be able to entertain you." Seele hesitated slightly.
"It's okay. I've been living alone these past few days anyway. Mom is working abroad, and Father has been away on a business trip recently. It doesn't matter how late I get home."
Kujou Oto shook her head and pressed her advantage.
"But if you go back too late, it could be very unsafe."
Seele thought of the gang members and evil spirits she had encountered last time.
