Hearing Kujou Oto's considerate words, Seele relaxed slightly and felt even more favorably toward her.
"Is that... half-body evil spirit completely dead?"
Kujou Oto looked around. The terrifying atmosphere from before had completely vanished, and the temperature had returned to normal. If not for the horrifying traces Seele had left on the ground, it would have seemed as though nothing had happened.
"Maybe it's dead. Or maybe it's still alive..."
Seele held Asou Yuna's hand and stood beside Kujou Oto, looking around as she gave a vague reply.
"What do you mean? Didn't she already completely..."
Kujou Oto found Seele's words even harder to understand. That evil spirit, along with her corpse, had clearly been dragged entirely into those terrifying liquids by red-eyed Seele. Why would Seele say that?
"She's dead, but the half-body evil spirit might not be. As long as the urban legend about the half-body evil spirit continues to spread, perhaps a new half-body evil spirit will appear."
"Unless the urban legend about it disappears completely."

Horror tales could give rise to similar yokai because of people's fear. That was nothing strange; it was merely a matter of probability and strength.
"Then what do we do? Was everything we did today for nothing?"
It was obviously impossible to make everyone forget the urban legends they knew.
"Don't worry. Evil spirits born from fear are extremely rare. Even if one successfully appears by chance, it would be decades from now."
"Besides, the half-body evil spirit at that time would be different from the current one. She would no longer be who she is now, but something entirely based on the horror stories spread by humans, making her easier to deal with."
Noticing Kujou Oto's concern, Seele
