"Forget it. I'll take you around so you can get familiar with the place!"
Kanou normally would not have paid any attention to cats like these. Ever since she became a yokai, ordinary cats and she were no longer cats of the same world, much like the relationship between monkeys and humans. But now that Seele had given the order, she could only take good care of them. Kanou picked up the kittens and began leading them around the shrine grounds.
Seele took off her shoes and walked across the shrine's wooden floor wearing only white cotton socks.
After Seele entered the living room, she saw the two little girls inside fiercely playing a game on the TV.
"Hiyamaru, Meiyuki, has Yuna not gotten out of school yet?" Seele searched around the room but did not see Asou Yuna, so she curiously asked the two girls.
"Yuna? It seems she hasn't come back yet!"
Shimizu Meiyuki put down her controller, stood up, and shook her head at Seele.
"I won!"
Since Shimizu Meiyuki was no longer controlling her character, Hiyamaru immediately drained her character's health bar and could not help letting out a delighted cry.
She then put down her controller as well, turned to look at Seele, and hurried over to her. "Big Sister, you're back!"
"Hiyamaru, this is the fried tofu I brought for you. It's still hot, so take it and eat." Seele handed Hiyamaru several portions of fried tofu she had packed away in her inventory.
Since it had been kept in her portable inventory, it was as if it had just come out of the pan. If it were not for that feature, the mooncakes and instant noodles the Valkyries had given her would have spoiled long ago.
"Fried tofu! Thank you, big sister!
