Several centuries ago, the Black Flood Dragon King's heart was stolen by Ōkuninushi. It was said that Ōkuninushi had taken it for his concubine, Inabanokuni Yagamihime, to consume... Even now, it had not been recovered... Perhaps it never could be.
Don't ask how he was still alive without a heart. He was a demon, after all... and a great demon at that. But without his heart... his strength had only waned over the centuries, never grown. His hatred for Ōkuninushi had accumulated for hundreds of years and was already nearing madness.
But he knew he was no match for Ōkuninushi. He might not even have been able to enter the Divine Realm...
If Black Seele had not arrived, things might have continued this way until he destroyed himself.
Actually, Black Seele felt that she did not need any help. But after arriving in Izumo... she realized she did not know how to reach the Izumo Divine Realm. Though it was said to be in the sky... if simply reaching the sky were enough to find it, planes passing by would have discovered it or crashed into it long ago.
In reality... the Izumo Divine Realm was a separate space above Izumo, and entering it required a special method. Added to that... for some other reasons, Seele went to seek out the Black Flood Dragon King.
They said that one's enemies knew them best. When it came to the Izumo pantheon, the Black Flood Dragon King truly knew a great deal.
"Don't worry. I only want revenge and to vent my anger."
In response to Black Seele's warning, the Black Flood Dragon King replied in an unconcerned tone.
"It'd better be that way..."
Black Seele did not particularly care. If he tried any tricks, she would "devour" him too, regardless of
