Chapter 6: Licker (2-in-1)
After comforting Seele, Bronya took her weapon and left the room once again. Naturally, she did not forget to close the door behind her.
The orphanage's doors were the thick iron kind. Perhaps Seele had escaped the zombies' attacks thanks to that iron door? Still, she had been lucky.
That door could only stop ordinary zombies. Against the Juggernaut zombies Bronya had seen, no door would be of any use.
After leaving Seele's room, Bronya did not rush off to find a supermarket. Instead, she first went door to door through the orphanage, thoroughly searching every room.
First, she wanted to see whether there were any other survivors. Second, she could clear out all the zombies here while she was at it. Because... tonight... Bronya planned to stay here for the night.
In less than ten minutes, Bronya had cleared out every zombie in the orphanage. Just in case... she cremated all their bodies as well.
However... she did not encounter any other survivors. Seele was the orphanage's sole survivor. Perhaps it was precisely because of Seele's timid and weak nature that she had survived instead.
After leaving the orphanage, Bronya held the unenhanced three-star, level-one Fire Fairy Type II in both hands and walked down the street openly, without the slightest attempt at stealth.
Fafnir's Flame was far too powerful. Using Fafnir's Flame to kill zombies and similar monsters made Bronya feel as though she were using a cannon to swat mosquitoes.
Against zombies, the Fire Fairy she was currently using was already a terrifying weapon. After all, even one- and two-star pistols could kill them in one shot.
Holding the Fire Fairy, Bronya casually fired a shot at every zombie that entered her field of vision. She did not need to worry at all
