In the parking lot near the Weekly Shonen Sunday branch office, Rita opened the car door and stepped out.
The weather was nice today, with the sun appearing and disappearing behind the clouds... The temperature was just right. Of course, Rita did not care what the temperature was... but with Shiina Mashiro beside her, this kind of weather was undoubtedly perfect. After watching Shiina Mashiro get out and close the door, Rita took out the key and remotely locked the car.

After getting out, Shiina Mashiro called to Rita while holding her things.
"What is it?"

Her reply was calm, as detached and unworldly as ever.
"Alright, but I didn't bring any water. Hmm... There seems to be a vending machine up ahead. Let's go."
Rita glanced around and spotted a vending machine about a dozen meters away. Her eyes lit up, and she immediately led Shiina Mashiro over.
There were many vending machines like this in Japan. Besides drinks, they sold snacks, instant noodles, and all sorts of everyday necessities. After all, this was a fast-paced city where everything was made as convenient as possible.
