"It was okay..."
Since people generally did not talk while eating here, there was much less conversation afterward. Only once they had finished eating did they find a place to chat.
They started by talking about clubs. Only the Akizuki sisters and Fukaya Shiho had joined clubs; Rita and the other two were all members of the go-home club.
Aoyama Nanami was different. She did not join a club because she worked part-time to earn money, striving to save up for voice acting school tuition.
Akizuki Airi was somewhat surprising, though. She had joined a club called girlspop, and she herself was a somewhat well-known songstress at the academy. Though that was only relative—she did not have many fans and merely sang often at school events.
After talking about clubs, the conversation turned to boyfriends.
Akizuki Marina had a boyfriend she had been dating for nearly a year. He was a boy in her grade who had entered her life when her parents' divorce had left her heartbroken.
He was a very gentle high school student, and Akizuki Marina felt that dating him had been pretty nice. However, she was conservative by nature. Even after nearly a year together, they had gone no further than holding hands. Her boyfriend had been very patient, but some time ago, he had wanted to hug and kiss her, only for her to refuse him. He had been quite unhappy about it, and the two had given each other the cold shoulder for several days.
Akizuki Marina knew her behavior was not right. Being so conservative could make people think she had a fear of men. In truth, aside from her reserved personality, her parents' sudden divorce despite their loving relationship had left her somewhat afraid of love and marriage in the future.
