Rita politely apologized to the teacher leading the group.
"All right, let's not talk about anything else for now. Hurry and get on the bus, or we'll miss the Shinkansen."
Without any further lecturing, the teacher hurriedly led everyone onto the school bus parked nearby.
There were nearly forty people in total, with the entire class present. Most of them were girls, while there seemed to be fewer than ten boys.
After boarding the bus, Rita sat with Shiina Mashiro. Everyone chatted quietly inside; although they were excited, they restrained themselves and tried not to disturb anyone else, even their classmates.
After all, in this country, disturbing others with noise was considered extremely impolite.
The school bus traveled for nearly half an hour before arriving at their destination. Because it was raining, everyone felt a little disappointed, but under the teacher's arrangements, they got off one by one and entered the station.
After another half hour or so, everyone finally reached the train platform. Once the train arrived, they quickly boarded.
This Shinkansen was headed for Kansai, and they would probably arrive at their destination sometime after one in the afternoon. Although Japan was not large, it was very long. Traveling from one end to the other would take an entire day and night, but fortunately, this destination was only a few hours away.
Perhaps because of the time, there were not many passengers on this Shinkansen. Rita's carriage in particular was basically occupied only by students from their class.
There was none of the lively atmosphere of people taking trains home for the Shenzhou Spring Festival. Everyone was quiet, doing their own things. Even those listening to music or watching movies wore headphones.
Rita took out her phone and browsed the news and Twitter. The news that Rita and
