For example, helping her get up in the morning, going to school... and their daily routines. But... even such ordinary stories held considerable appeal.
Shiina Mashiro's go-with-the-flow nature made her completely like a little pet that softened people's hearts. And then there was the maid who was capable at both housework and everyday life, a girl who was perfect whether it came to taking care of others or anything else.
In just four chapters, it brought out the personalities of both protagonists, and the story was heartwarming as well.
However... although it depicted Shiina Mashiro and Rita, Shiro did not use their real names in this manga, instead using homophones of their names.
If this manga had not been so short, it would have had no problem being submitted for publication. Selling it at a convention now... would be even less of a problem.
It could also lay the groundwork for the continuation, the full-length "Pet Girl." After all, this short story was a trial work for Pet Girl!
