Before long, Little Himeko came over to Himeko carrying a neatly folded, beautiful yukata.
"Here. Take good care of it, okay?"
"Mm, I will."
Himeko took the yukata and nodded very seriously.
"Then... everyone, go back to your rooms and change first!"
Seeing Himeko accept the yukata, Muryōtō Ryūsuke stood up, preparing to return to his room and change into his own yukata or kimono.

Both the big and little Himekos nodded. However, Himeko did not return to Little Himeko's bedroom with her, instead heading to the bathroom to change by herself.
After watching Little Himeko and her father go upstairs, Himeko took Himeko's mom's yukata and entered the bathroom.
Once inside, Himeko unfolded the yukata in her hands. It was an exceptionally beautiful piece, patterned in black and white, without the slightest hint of being old-fashioned. In fact, it was prettier than most yukatas.
As its name suggested, a yukata was the sort of clothing commonly worn after soaking in a hot spring or taking a bath. Its style resembled that of a kimono, and it could be considered a lighter, more casual kind of kimono.
The difference between the two... kimono were made from high-grade fabrics, while yukatas were mostly made of cotton or linen. Kimono were extremely complicated to put on, whereas yukatas were much simpler.
Kimono were more formal, while yukatas could be worn more casually. Kimono were worn for formal occasions, such as New Year celebrations, coming-of-age ceremonies, and traditional Japanese weddings, where specific attire was required. Because formal kimono were so cumbersome to wear, they had been criticized as impractical clothing, but their advantage was that they gave the wearer an elegant bearing.
Himeko took off her clothes and prepared to put on Himeko's mom's yukata.
