As the last trace of sunlight disappeared, it did not take long for night to fall completely. Yet the Sansi Shrine, one of the main venues in the city, became livelier instead. Of course, that liveliness referred to the area around the shrine, not the inside of it.
Although there were certainly plenty of visitors inside the shrine as one of the event venues, it was still a shrine. Whether people believed in the gods or not, they could not disregard basic courtesy and rules.
Besides, people in the Far Eastern Land had always held a strong belief in spirits and gods. Therefore, at the shrine, they followed its rules and did not make loud noises or cause a disturbance.
The shopping streets around the shrine, on the other hand, were exceptionally lively. Especially during an Ice and Snow Festival like this, festival-themed specialties could be found everywhere.
Himeko led Little Himeko along the street toward the shrine, occasionally buying some particularly distinctive items. It was a rare festival event, and both of them looked very happy.
