"Himeko, there's a suitable spot up ahead. Let's go claim it!"
Viewing cherry blossoms in the Far Eastern Land wasn't just about strolling around and admiring the blooming scenery. It required a bit of ceremony, too.
It was considered a tradition in this country. During cherry blossom season, people in the Far Eastern Land would always arrive early at famous viewing spots to claim a beautifully blooming cherry tree. They would spread out a plastic sheet beneath it, set up a small table, and wait for their family, friends, or coworkers to arrive. Then they would sit together beneath the tree, enjoy the food they had brought, and chat to their hearts' content.
As for all those things... Himeko had already prepared them before coming, thanks to Little Himeko's reminder yesterday.
They wandered through nearly half the park. Most of the good spots had already been claimed, but Himeko and the others eventually found a suitable place.
Himeko looked in the direction Little Himeko had pointed. Sure enough, there was an excellent spot ahead. A huge cherry tree stood in full bloom, and whenever the breeze passed through, a few petals would drift down from time to time, making the scene breathtakingly beautiful.
"Let's take that one. Come on!"
The place Little Himeko had chosen was indeed perfect, so Himeko quickly led Sirin and the others beneath the enormous cherry tree.
After choosing their spot, Himeko spread the sky-blue plastic sheet she had prepared beneath the tree. Once she made sure no one nearby was watching, she took out the small table, props, and snacks from her personal storage.
Once they had worked together to arrange everything, they all took off their shoes outside the plastic sheet, then gathered around the small table, which stood less than half a meter
